State Minds in Motions scholars announced

The Maryland Public Schools Secondary Athletic Association has announced the winners of its 2011 Minds in Motion scholarships. The eight winners will be honored at a luncheon on June 1 at M&T Bank Stadium, where they will be presented with $1,000 scholarships.

The winners:
Rachel Davis, Annapolis
Marissa Friedman, Owings Mills
Selena Guerrero-Martin, Poly
Cara McLaughlin, Leonardtown
Connor Amone, Williamsport
Corey Koller, Southern-AA
Daniel Shear, Pikesville
Jordan Wool, Snow Hill

The awards, in their fourth year, honor four boys and four girls with impeccable academic records who participate in MPSSAA sports.
