Region championship boys hoops doubleheader set for Morgan State on Friday

Morgan State University will host two region titles games Friday with three area teams featured, including No. 1 Patterson.

At 5:30 p.m., No. 7 Edmondson, fresh off Wednesday's 48-45 win over two-time defending Class 2A state champ City, will take on Baltmore City rival Digital Harbor for the 2A North region title. The Red Storm came away with a 86-68 win at Digital Harbor in December.

In the nightcap, No. 1 Patterson meets Urbana, at 7:30 p.m. for the 4A North crown. Last year, the Clippers were eliminated by the Frederick County school in the region semifinal round.
