Icy weather postpones more prep games

Here we go again with frozen precipitation closing some area schools and postponing more high school sporting events.

Schools in Baltimore, Carroll and Harford counties as well as some private and parochial schools were closed Tuesday, forcing postponement of many games and meets for the fourth time in five school days.

Baltimore City and Anne Arundel and Howard county schools opened two hours late, so games will be played within those jurisdictions unless the weather takes a turn for the worse this afternoon.

Some private and parochial schools also opened late, so their game will go on. Check with the schools to find out if they will play today.

To see which schools are closed, check The Baltimore Sun's school-closing database.
