Gilman's Jennings gets laugh over blog rumors

While mulling where to play college football, Virginia-bound Darius Jennings didn't pay much attention to the blogosphere. Still, he did hear a few of the stranger rumors.

"It's crazy. There was a rumor that both of my parents graduated from Virginia," said the Gilman quarterback. "Neither of my parents went to Virginia at all. It was kind of funny and fun for me just to hear what they were saying.

"I heard Ohio State, Wake Forest. I heard I was going to do a surprise thing and commit to Miami. I've heard lots of stuff. I'm just glad it's all cleared up," he said after signing his National Letter of Intent Wednesday morning.

By the time he signed that letter, he had a swarm of text messages waiting for him.

"It's ridiculous. I had my phone off and then I turned it on and I probably had at least 20 text messages."
