Friends' Schmidt reaches milestone

Friends senior guard/forward Jon Schmidt surpassed the 1,000 career point plateau with a 31-point performance in a 70-50 loss against St. Mary's on Monday. Schmidt is averaging nearly 25 points and 10 rebounds this season for the Quakers. He is being recruited by a number of Division I basketball programs, including Cornell and Richmond.
