No. 1 Patterson boys to play in first BCCC High School Showcase on Saturday

The top boys basketball team in the Metro area will face one of the best from Philadelphia when Baltimore City Community College hosts the first BCCC High School Showcase starting Saturday at noon. The inaugural game will feature No. 1 Patterson (12-1) and the Philadelphia Electrical Technology and Charter School (15-3). Admission to the game is $5. Doors open at 11 a.m.

Philadelphia Electrical, which is ranked sixth in the city of Philadelphia and is on a 10-game winning streak, is led by senior guard Carrington Ward with 18.9 points per game. Senior guard Devante Chance is averaging 14.7 points per game.

The Clippers' offense starts with sophomore point guard Aquille Carr, who is averaging 30.4 points and 6.7 assists. Carr earned All-Metro honors as a freshman last year and was named Maxpreps National Freshman of the Year after averaging 25.5 points, eight assists and 5.3 steals.
