No. 1 Spalding vs. No. 2 Seton Keough girls among prep games postponed
The lingering effects of Wednesday's snow storm have closed most area schools for a third straight day and postponed most athletics contests, including the girls basketball game between No. 1 Archbishop Spalding and No. 2 Seton Keough which will be made up on Sunday.
Schools were closed in Baltimore City and Baltimore, Carroll and Harford counties Friday postponing all events in those jurisdictions and in many private and parochial schools that follow their lead. Seton Keough is closed because it follows Baltimore County's lead.
Spalding will travel to Seton Keough Sunday at 3:30 p.m. for their second meeting of the season after their December game was decided in double overtime. The game is Seton Keough's Playing 4 The Cure breast cancer awareness fundraiser to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Schools in Anne Arundel and Howard counties opened late Friday, so games there will be played as scheduled.
Howard and Glenelg will make up their basketball games postponed from Wednesday on Feb. 7. The girls will play at Glenelg at 5:30 p.m. and the boys, at Howard at 5:30.
Catonsville's girls basketball team has two make-up games rescheduled: Perry Hall at Catonsville, Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Kenwood at Catonsville, Monday at 5:15.
