Glenelg's Parker named to NFHCA's All-Region team

Glenelg junior field hockey midfielder Alyssa Parker added another bit of glitter to her array of awards this season, as she has been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association’s High School All- South Region team.

Parker is the only player in the greater Baltimore area to be named to the team and one of just two in the state, joining Pocomoke's Taylor West.

Parker, who scored an amazing 38 goals and 38 assists this season, lead the Gladiators and Howard County in scoring, while leading her team to a 19-1 record and its first state championship.

She is also a Junior Olympian and Futures Elite Player, and being highly recruited by both Maryland and North Carolina field hockey programs.
