Katherine,
If it was reseeded according to point averages why was Queen Annes County seeded #2 and Middletown #1 when Queen Annes scored 488 with 98 scored against, while Middletown scored 358 with 118 scored against?

It is not points scored or against. You gain points by the size of schools you beat and earn bonus points from every win someone you have beaten gets. Basically, Middletown played a tougher schedule and is rewarded for it.

Jim M, I don't think that refers to "points scored for vs against" but to the convoluted points system that the MPSSAA uses to rank teams in each division. Under that system, Middletown finished with 10.50 pts and Queen Anne's with 10.40 pts.

The seeding has nothing to do with points scored and points allowed. It's based on the MPSSAA points system, where teams earn points through their victories (based on school size and the number of wins collected by defeated opponents).

The system is not great, but it would be wrong to if it seeded QA #1. QA has proven itself as a top program, but if you play a schedule that all the other final-four could dominate, you should not be rewarded a #1 seed just because of point differential. Getting some credit for strength of schedule is a good idea and encourages more aggressive scheduling.

The real reason why QA was seeded at #2 is the ongoing bias that schools from the Eastern Shore are "inferior" to teams from the Western Shore. It's prevalent when the MPSSAA have the "Maryland Bowl" by selecting a bunch of Western Shore football players and select only 1 (ONE) player from ump-teen schools on the Eastern Shore. It's been happening for the longest.

Ongoing Bias" Please explain this? You do realize that Middletown had NO ONE selected to the Crab Bowl (Or Maryland Bowl as you called it) even though they were #1 in 2A, State Finalist this year, and State Semi-Finalist last year. Not seeing the western bias there my easternshorenative friend
