Panthers, Gators, Cavs advance at Bishop Walsh

Could another showdown between No. 1 St. Frances and No. 2 Archbishop Spalding be coming Saturday in Cumberland?

It's possible as both teams, as well as No. 6 Seton Keough, won their opening round games Thursday at the Bishop Walsh Girls Invitational Tournament. St. Frances, however, will have to get past defending champ Seton Keough to reach the final.

Thursday's results:
St. Frances 90, Bishop Walsh 19
Seton Keough 40, Elizabeth Seton 36
Spalding 61, St. John's-DC 45
Bishop McNamara 48, Springside (PA) 20

St. Frances plays Seton Keough at 5:45 p.m. today while Spalding takes on Bishop McNamara at 7:30 p.m. The title game tips off at 6:15 p.m. Saturday.
