Long Reach grad Webb looks to shine

As a senior forward at Long Reach in 2006, Darryl Webb helped the Lightning bring home a state title.

On Saturday, the 6-foot-6 junior forward will try to lead Indiana University of Pennsylvania to the NCAA Division II championship when it takes on Cal Poly Pomona. Game time is set for 1 p.m. and will air on CBS.

In leading IUP to a 33-2 record, Webb, who was named to the NABC Division II All-America team, is averaging 15.3 points and 10.4 rebounds this season. He has four double doubles in the playoffs.

A funny fact about Webb: In the past few weeks he has been featured on both Sportscenter's Top 10 AND Not Top 10. Not too many people can say they've achieved that. Best wishes to Darryl and IUP.
