Alhambra set to start Thursday
The boys basketball season for No. 3 Mount St. Joseph and No. 5 St. Frances are not through just yet. The 50th annual Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament is set to kick off Thursday at Frostburg State University in Cumberland.
St. Frances (22-9) will take on Benedictine (Va.) at 5:30 p.m. with Mount St. Joseph (30-4) opening the three-day tournament against Judge Memorial (Utah) at 7:30. The eight-team tournament will continue on Friday and close on Saturday with consolation games followed by the championship game.
St. Frances is the last Baltimore-area team to win the championship, back in 1996, and Washington-based Gonzaga is the two-time defending champ.

Minus the #2 team in the area. Disgraceful.

The #2 team in the area should've won more games instead of waiting until the BCL tournament to play like they had a set.
