Update Recent Trades:

Hakim Warrick, F (MEM): A few games have passed now since the Pau Gasol trade and now we have a clearer view of the situation. Hakim Warrick has fantasy value and is definitely worth owning. His minutes have increased but are still inconsistently doled out by head coach Marc Iavroni. Warrick got his second start of the season on Tuesday and set new career highs for points (24) and rebounds (13). In February, he's averaged a block per game, 6.4 RPG and has scored in double-figures in three of the five games. It looks like he'll also chip in with three pointers and steals, albeit modestly.

Marcus Banks, PG (MIA): Marcus Banks has given us a taste of what he can do. In two games in Miami, he's averaged 3.3 PPG, 2.7 APG, 0.7 SPG and has missed all eight of his three-point attempts. Right now, you are probably thinking I'm mocking him but the reality is he is going to be a fairly valuable guy shortly. The Heat will probably ship Ricky Davis and/or Jason Williams elsewhere since both players have expiring contracts, which opens up a lot of time for Banks. Those previous averages are over 15.5 minutes per game - that might nearly double if the Heat keep making moves.

Buy:

Dorell Wright, F (MIA): Dorell Wright has been playing out of his mind recently and he should continue to see heavy minutes for reasons mentioned above. Wright's averages in February are 14.7 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 2.5 APG, 1.2 SPG, 0.7 BPG while hitting 3.8 free throws per game (at a 96% clip). Those are fantastic numbers for a player who is just tapping into his upside - what are you waiting for?

Kenyon Martin, F (DEN): Attention K-Mart shoppers: it's time to buy. If for some reason Kenyon Martin is available in your league, snap him up. His averages for the season sound like 11.2 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 1.4 BPG, 1.3 SPG, 1.0 APG and 1.2 taunts per game after slam dunks. But his averages over the last three months are better in almost every category. Over the last three months he's averaged more than 12 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 1.6 BPG and 1.3 APG. I was surprised to hear he is available in some league (via e-mailer) - he should be owned in every league.

Andray Blatche, F (WAS): If you want some short term value, Andray Blatche is your guy. When the Wizards are healthy, his minutes are spotty, but with Gilbert Arenas out, and Antonio Daniels and Caron Butler ailing, Blatche has seen an increase of playing time recently. Averaging 29 minutes per game in February, Blatche is offering up 10.4 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 1.4 APG, 1.3 SPG and 1.1 BPG. Quality numbers that are probably pissing off Brendan Haywood owners, like me, but realistically, Blatche probably won't see close to 29 minutes per game when everyone is healthy.

Sell:

Luis Scola, F (HOU): Luis Scola stepped into the Houston Rockets starting five eight games ago and the increase in minutes has increased his fantasy value. But even so, I'm not high on this guy. He doesn't give you a whole lot of points (11.0 per game as a starter), he doesn't provide assists, blocks or steals, and he averages only 5.6 rebounds per game. There are better options for simply points and rebounds on the waiver-wire.
