3 up, 3 down
UP
Chipper Jones, 3B, Braves: The veteran third baseman has hit safely in 11 straight games. Jones has three homers, four RBIs and four runs in his last two games. Overall, he's batting .317 with 10 homers and 20 RBIs.
Jhonny Peralta, SS, Indians: Cleveland's shortstop has a pair of homers and eight RBIs in his last three games. Peralta is still batting just .241 on the season. His average fell to .257 last year after he hit .292 in '05.
John Maine, SP, Mets: The former Oriole has been spectacular so far, going 4-0 with a 1.35 ERA in five starts for New York. Maine has gone at least seven innings in four of five outings. He allowed no runs and three hits in his last start against the Nationals.
DOWN
Ichiro Suzuki, OF, Mariners: He's just 2-for-13 (.154) in his last three games. Ichiro has stolen one base after piling up 45 last season. Overall, he's batting .291 with a .337 on-base percentage.
Carlos Lee, OF, Astros: He's 3-for-20 (.150) in his last five games and is batting .242 overall. Lee hasn't homered in his last 13 games, but still has driven in 22.
Mariano Rivera, RP, Yankees: It was not a good first month for the future Hall of Famer. Rivera picked up his first and only save of the season on April 28. As stated by Rotoworld, Rivera would have to toss 37 1/3 straight scoreless innings to match last year's ERA of 1.80. He's at 10.57 right now.

Maybe you should include some Orioles in the "3 down" category, with the exception of Tejada. With all these rich contracts Mr. Angelos handed out in the off-season, I don't see much production; but, I do hear whinning about play time from some of the .250, .247, .188 hitters. Maybe, if Angelos gave them a few more millions, they could at least get to .270. JM.
