Video: Pe'Shon Howard highlights
Pe'Shon Howard's performance at the Les Schwab Invitational in Hillsboro, Ore., last week helped convince the Maryland staff that the Oak Hill (Va.) Academy combo guard merited a scholarship offer.
Here's video of the Terps' most recent commitment from the tournament, courtesy of OregonLive.com's Tim Brown.

He looks good to me.....nice clip Matt. We need PG's more then a SG anyway since were losing GV and Eric Hayes....it is safe to say that Mosley is going to be a beast SG this year and next. Graham, please come to MD, we need a big man now to compliment this class!

Great. We lose one of the most sought after SG in the country, a guy who everyone says just takes over games. BTW, a type which we HAVENT had since Gilchrest left, and now we lock up a 3star. Awesome. lol.
Its actually to the point now that when I see the player says "I was hoping MD would offer", I just think he isn't anywhere near ACC D-1 quality.

Ryan stop crying Ross aint going no were,
we will still land him, Howard is the exact type of PG play maker Ross wil love to be on the same court with. so i think Ross see,s this and comes back.

Ryan,
Did you really just favorably compare Gilchrist with Vasquez? The only time JG ever "took over" was the ACC tournament his sophomore year. Greivis has taken over many more games, despite his ups and downs.
Besides all that, people who criticize recruits before they even put on a MD uniform are ridiculous. Did you say the same thing about 3-star Juan Dixon, or maybe the low 3-star Tyrese Rice who we didn't offer?

Jeremy,
I can't believe I am actually going to respond, but I just can't let it go.
What has GV won us? You really think GV is a better shooter then Gilchrest was? They are not even in the same league.
Gilchrest led us to knock off a 3-2-1 to win the ACC tourney. We didn't even make the NCAA now 3 outta 4 years with GV. We have lost to American, Morgan, and William and Mary.
Gilchrest scouting report was, 3Star- lack of talented opponents so hard to judge. EX.) they didn't really know a lot about him.
GV is the most inconsistent player since Gary took over. They haven't been serious contenders for the ACC since he came here. They are not even amongst the top 50 teams in the country. A TEAM THAT WENT TO BACK TO BACK FINAL 4's IN THE DECADE AND WON THE ACC!!
Gilchrest lit up Florida AT FLORIDA when they were #1. They knocked off 3 #1's, a #3, and 2 #6's in his 3 years here.
If he would have come back for his senior year, they would probably have made a run at repeating the ACC title.
Vasquez misses more wide open shots, and he isn't even close with them as they brick off the far side of the backboard or clank short side right, then anyone I have seen.
But, let the record speak for itself. With JG they were in the top 25 his whole freshman year, and consistently in the top 25 in his sophmore year, until a 4 game losing streak at the end of the ACC Season that they then won the Tourney and were a 3 seed in the NCAA. Then they were top 25 most of the junior year.

Jermey and Ryan,
Gilchrist was junk!
Vasquez is good not "great"
Let me say a name that was atcually a real PG..Andre Collins.
Only time I been mad at Gary for not playing him, after he told him that his soph yr he would have the PG job. Instead Gary went out and got J. Gilchrist (waste of scholarship)
