Reports: Tsafack picks Memphis

The Memphis Commercial Appeal and Scout.com reported earlier today that Miller School (Va.) center Hippolyte Tsafack committed to Memphis and is expected to sign during the fall period.

Tsafack, a powerfully-built forward with a developing skill set, is a three-star prospect according to both Rivals and Scout. National Hoops Report ranked Tsafack as the No. 5 “sleeper” of the July recruiting period. He visited Memphis and Maryland in October before making his decision.

Maryland's focus remains on St. Anthony (N.J.) forward Ashton Pankey, who will make his decision after visiting Houston this weekend.

why pankey? there areno basketball 'powers' after him..why does UMD want him? save the scholly for 2011!

Ok so one got away. With everything I have been reading lately compitition is going to be really stiff to get a commit out of Leslie and Harris as well....any word on Jonathon Graham? why does there seem to be disinterest from the UMD coaching staff? It seems to me they are looking all over the place for something they could possibly have in their own backyard.

Unseld -- I haven't been able to track down anything on Graham, and it's not for lack of trying. Scout.com reported yesterday that he's not signing during the fall period.
