Terps make cut for Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris narrowed his list of schools to seven Friday night, and Maryland made the cut.

The Terps are joined on the five-star prospect's list by West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky and Syracuse.

Harris announced his list on his Twitter page.

It's been real hard cutting this list down, I just want to thank all the schools that have been recruiting me, it has been a great blessing.

I hope Tobias work on going left. Defenders in the ACC will not allow him to just go right. He would be a great addition to this team. GO TERPS!

Matt- What does your "gut" tell you with Harris?
Mine says Terp. It feels like a change, and with the emphasis on the "point forward" position, and how Gary has handled that spot for so long, it seems like the right place.
Plus, I just think the tide is turning in Terp Land BBALL.

I didn't see anything spectacular in that video that makes me yearn for Tobias.

Ryan -- Your guess is as good as mine. Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports thinks it could be Syracuse, for what it's worth.

I think Tobias is leaning toward UMD, W.V., and Cuse. I would think we have an advantage in one regard, his brother can drive 40 minutes up the road from No. Va. to see him play. His parents are a couple hours away. He can not be offered that at any of the other locations. Ryan, I think you are right that the tide is turning. We are a program of attraction again. If G.V. has a great year and plays within himself we can only get better recruiting wise. I also think Lefty Jr. has found his stride and is well respected in recruiting circles. I hope he comes because it make a lot of sense in so many ways for the player and for the team.
