Charm City Challenge rosters updated

Two future Terps will be on display at the Towson Center next month, and another UM target will suit up for the opposing team.

Maryland power forward commitments James Padgett and Jordan Williams are two of the headliners on the U.S. All-Star team, which will be coached by Padgett’s high school coach at Brooklyn (N.Y.) Lincoln, Dwayne “Tiny” Morton.

The Baltimore team will be led by St. Frances small forward Terrell Vinson, who’s considering offers from Maryland, Cincinnati, UMass and Charlotte.

The Charm City Challenge is set for April 5 at the Towson Center. The Baltimore City vs. County game will tip off at 3 p.m., followed by the Baltimore vs. U.S. matchup at 5 p.m. Click here for more info on the event.

Looks like a good line up. Interested to see the new Terps in person. Everyone seems to be putting a lot on their shoulders so it will be good to see what they can really do. Baltimore always plays with a chip on their shoulder in this game.

I thought Spurlock decommited?

Mariolucasforthree -- He signed with U.Va. in the fall, so he'd have to ask for a release from his letter of intent (just like Vinson with LMU). According to this story, he hasn't done that yet. But it's certainly a situation worth monitoring.

Mariolucasforthree -- Wow, thanks for the link. That certainly makes it seem a lot more definite.

Any chance of getting both Stephenson and Vinson??? If Vasquez leaves and another scholarship opens via transfer (Dupree??) or injury (Burney??), is it a possibility?

Ryan -- I guess it's a possibility, but I kind of doubt it would happen. I'm not sure if they'd want to take to both, but I can't say for sure.

Bill Self will probably have Lance's father as the new AD. Hard to believe he has not run out of positions to fill at Kansas for player's coaches and family members. Hopefully Gary will find the right solution and get a high skilled JuCo PG that can drive and finish. Seriously, is this a surprise to anyone...
