NCAA clears Goins

Freshman center Steve Goins is officially eligible to play for Maryland this season

“He was cleared by the [NCAA] Clearinghouse yesterday so he is a full qualifier,” said Kathleen Worthington, UM’s senior associate athletics director.

Worthington said freshman Jin Soo Kim is still waiting on NCAA Clearinghouse approval.

High School in 2001, but spurned all (nonexistent) scholarship offers to attend the University of Michigan.
