Something that not many people know about you: “Actually, I tried out for the basketball team and made it ... at Wilde Lake. My wrestling coach had to talk to the basketball coach, and he made him cut me. I was just doing it to keep me in shape.”
Best football moment: “Playing Long Reach my junior year and I broke for a 30-yard run that sparked the scoring drive that gave the team life. We beat them 24-21 that year.”
Role model: “I have somebody who always gives me advice. Asmar Hagler, he was my wrestling coach. He gives me advice, what to do, what not to do inside and outside of school. He’s there for me when I need something. Whenever I have an issue I can talk to him. Whenever I feel down, he says to just stick with it.”
Why Maryland? “The education, the players there -- I get along with the players -- the location and then just being able to stay close to home.”
