Lamaar Thomas picks Ohio State
Fort Washington Friendly running back/wide receiver Lamaar Thomas announced tonight that he will attend Ohio State, choosing the Buckeyes over Maryland and Illinois.
Here are just a few paraphrased notes from his announcement, which was televised on ESPNU.
• It's very difficult for him to leave home and say no to Maryland. Thomas has never left home before.
• Ohio State plans to use Thomas similarly to how they used Ted Ginn Jr.
• Thomas plans to run track at OSU.
Tough break for Terp fans, but not a big surprise.
On the bright side, Rivals.com just updated its 2008 football rankings, and Maryland currently has the No. 19 class in the country.
It definitely hurts losing such a talented instate guy, but the Terps are still in position to reel in a very strong class.

wonder how he'll feel about his decision as the buckeyes fade and the Terps rise during the remainder of the season

I wonder how he would feel if Ralph allowed him to run track at Maryland. The Big Time football programs allow their players to play 2 sports.

In your face . I bet you wish you had him. I guess Maryland just doesn't have the talent. We will see about Ohio State they might go all the way you never know.

Recruiting is like a high school dance where the recruit already knows who they're leaving with, when the dance is over.
Leave the prima donna's to the prima donna schools, we don't need drama students, we need football players.
