« Weekly recruiting roundup | Main | Five questions -- UM's D.C.-area football commits »

Apologies

I'll be out of town Sunday and Monday -- the days I call high school coaches -- so the regularly scheduled 'Football commitment game recaps' post will be on a one-week hiatus.

I did manage to dig up a few UM commitment game nuggets before heading out of town. Here's what I've got:

Gary Douglas was the star of Hillside's 39-7 win over Riverside. The Durham (N.C.) native rushed for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the year, Douglas has accumulated 938 yards and 11 touchdowns on 93 carries.

Cody Blue contributed nine tackles in Wilde Lake's 25-8 loss to River Hill. I believe Blue's nine stops were a season high.

DCSportsFan.com was on hand to see Cameron Chism and his Bishop McNamara team notch a 29-28 win over A.J. Francis' Gonzaga (D.C.) squad.

Tavon Wilson's H.D. Woodson squad bested Ballou, 20-2. Wilson caught three passes for 53 yards.

• No stats here, but Demetrius Hartsfield's Southeast Raleigh squad moved to 7-1 with a 44-18 drubbing of East Wake.

Davin Meggett and his Surrattsville team blasted Fairmont Heights, 43-0, to move to 5-0 on the year. Surrattsville's stats are often posted here on Monday.

One uncommitted Terp target

• Fort Washington Friendly athlete Lamaar Thomas was pretty much unstoppable in Friendly's 40-0 rout of Douglass. According to The Washington Post, Thomas caught two touchdown passes, rushed for one score, threw a TD pass and recovered a fumble.
