Who do you like at quarterback?

So who do you like at quarterback on Saturday?

*Chris Turner? You can make a case that the fifth-year senior -- if his knee allows him to play, and that's a very big "if" -- has earned the right to try to finish out his college career on an up note. Coaches have obviously felt all season that Turner's experience at running this offense gives the Terps their best chance to win. Turner has had interception problems this season, though.

*Jamarr Robinson? He could be the future, at least in the near term. No doubt he is the most mobile of the quarterbacks, according to offensive coordinator James Franklin. So he gives Maryland a dual-purpose threat -- which is important when your offensive line is porous. But how effectiely can he pass and manage the offense? We don't know yet.

*Danny O'Brien? Playing the freshman sure would be interesting in that coaches rave about his acuity. Said coach Friedgen: "He's very mature for his age. He's very bright. He would have been accepted here at Maryland as a regular student. Came here early, went to summer school. He's in here watching tape all the time." But do you want to burn O'Brien's redshirt in this of all seasons?

Fridge has also said that freshman C.J. Brown should be ready to play. You may list him as a "write-in" on your ballots if you wish.

No way do you burn either of the redshirts of the 2 freshmen. This season is done, if anything happens to Robinson and Turner can't go in then use Anthony Green or use Smith in the wildcat. To burn their redshirts at the end of a lost season...and especially throwing them in against Tech's defense...is idiocy and another reason to call into question Friedgen's coaching acumen.

There is NO WAY Fridge should play any of the freshman unless both Turner and Robinson can't play. I am sure everyone remembers what Tech did to Jordan Steffy when he was forced into the lineup. Jamarr gives the team the best chance with his mobility. With the way the O-line is playing, whoever the QB is better be ready to scramble.

The Terps in an upset this Saturday!

Robinson.

Turner is not effective.

Play for next year.

Don't waste the freshman's eligibility at this point in the year with our record where it is.

In descending order: Robinson, Turner (if 90% or better), Anthony Green, Tony Logan, Torrey Smith, the Wing-T formation. Do not burn a redshirt at any position under any circumstance!

I would add Testudo to the llist as well.

You should rephrase the question jeff

I wouldn't be surprised to see Fridge and Franklin burn O'Brien's redshirt...for what purpose, only the offensive genius that is the Ralph knows. I also wouldn't be surprised if O'Brien transfers at the end of the year providing that his redshirt survives.

It's funny how Jamarr suddenly has all this talent that Ralph & Co. like and believes he provides different options to win, even though they haven't felt it necessary to get the kid one single real game pass throughout his entire career until Turner went down.

It doesn't matter....whoever Ralph picks, it will be the wrong one.
