Notes heading into Duke game

*RB Gary Douglas (shoulder) won’t play, leaving the running load largely to Davin Meggett and freshman Caleb Porzel, who is expected to get more action than last week’s six carries. I enjoy watching the speedy Porzel run. Morgan Green and D.J. Adams are the other running backs making the trip.

*Fridge said Terps have practiced well despite their recent play.

“The mood of the team is frustrated, but I haven’t seen it affect their effort,” he said. “It’s more of a ‘Let’s get it right.’ It’s been a very physical week [of practices], and not by design by me. I think we’re mad right now.”

*Duke RB Re'quan Boyette (knee) is out. QB Thaddeus Lewis threw touchdowns to five receivers in a 49-28 win over N.C. State. This is obviously a dangerous Duke offense.

*I expect Terps to try a few direct snaps to Torrey Smith. They're looking to get him the ball as often as possible. Maryland tried it once for no gain last week. Smith has quarterback experience, by the way, from high school.

If we had a dry field I would feel pretty good about our chances tomorrow, but it looks like another "hurricane" could be in store during the game. I think both coach brown and franklin have a few surprizes planned for duke.

Why arw we burning redshirts on freshman RB's when Morgan green is sitting on the sideline ready to play? He must have really done something to upset the coaching staff. He has been dressed every game and sits with the defense. What the heck is going on?

GO NAVY!!!!

How do you know you reached rock bottom as a football program? Back to Back losses against UVA and Duke.

Duke 34
Maryland 23

Pass the pepto...

So will the loser of this game be qualified for another Div.1AA discussion afterward?Just kidding, folks.

Who cares. The season is over. It is time for the Terps to see what the younger guys have and put them in to gain experience for next year. Chris Turner is not that good. The WR's are average at best. The defense is horrendous. It is more then a rebuilding year for the Terps. When does Ralph realize that this season is a lost cause? Time to start recruiting higher quality players!!!! These 3 star recruits are not getting the job done.

let's pass the hat around to get the million dollars to get Franklin away from the offensive play calling he is miserable and so predictable.
