The good and the bad for Terps
Maryland is applying pressure on Virginia quarterback Jameel Sewell.
The Terps have four sacks in the first half and have forced a fumble. In other words, the blitzes are working today.
But...
Running backs Davin Meggett and Gary Douglas have fumbled for Maryland. Virginia couldn’t directly turn either turnover into points.
A third fumble by Kerry Boykins was recovered by Maryland’s Torrey Smith.
Maryland entered Saturday’s play with 16 turnovers in six games.
This is a field-position game, and the Terps will give away huge swaths of yards if they keep turning it over.
UVA 3, Maryland 3, second quarter

Comments
Meggett's fumble was followed shortly thereafter with a fumble by Douglass. It looks like there are incredibly slick conditions.

This team is terrible. I heard big Ralph say if Maryland didn't want him then he would go somewhere else. Well Ralph, we'll see your big butt later. The nerve of you. Who do you think you are? The only place that you would even think of saying something that stupid is at Maryland.

Two bad teams + bad weather = bad game. You should get hazard pay for having to cover this one Jeff.

Mac,
I saw that comment by King Ralph in the Post or Times a couple weeks ago, thought it was somewhat arrogant and i'm with you. Go test the waters King Ralph, toss out your name as bait and go trolling. We have seen enough of this train wreck over the past few years to know it doesn't get any better, just go will yah..........Terp football is an embarrasment, 2-5 is 2-5 no matter how yah spin it.

Great defensive effort, VG offensive game plan (except getting Smith involved), but (4) TO's vs (1) in a "hurricane" and you will lose everytime.
