Three Terps on 'Skins roster

Kevin Barnes' football future was momentarily uncertain after the Wake Forest game last season.

Barnes had season-ending shoulder blade and collarbone injuries and required surgery. A pin was placed in his collarbone, and his shoulder was secured into place.

But Barnes bounced back. Despite a few shaky moments in the NFL preseason, he is among three Terps on the Washington Redskins' season-opening roster.

Edwin Williams, last year's Maryland center, also made the club. Of course, we knew returning tackle Stephon Heyer would make it.

Another former Terp, tackle Scott Burley, did not survive the cuts.

Two Terps on the Ravens' roster: tackle Jared Gaither and cornerback Domonique Foxworth.
