Maryland turnovers the story -- again

Chris Turner now has thrown three picks and fumbled once.

Trailing 13-10, Rutgers took the lead when Turner was sacked and fumbled in the end zone.

Turner was hit by safety Joe Lefeged, who who swept the ball from the quarterback’s hands. Defensive end George Johnson recovered it to put the Scarlet Knights ahead 17-13 with 2:59 left in the third quarter.

Turnovers are the only way Rutgers wins this game. Rutgers now has two defensive touchdowns.

When is someone going to hold big Ralph responsible for that mess at College Park?

don't forget 10 penalties - 2 personal fouls - 2 to's for TDs.... but it's only because they are young. THe only coach that should stay is DC Brown - defense did all they could.

Maryland is a 500 team. but not in division 1-A. I'm talking division 1-AA. They should play teams like Rhode Island and Harvard. But even there, they would lose as many as they win. But as lease they have a state-of-the- art stadium and an intelligent head coach. It's going to be a long decade.

Are you seriously writing blogs about this team? Oh that's right... They're young! As if no other team is young.... They're banged up! As if no other team is banged up....

Please give it up! And please stop attempting to hype what Ralph and crew are selling!

enough!

ralph has some responsibility...all the coaches do...but coaches dont fumble and throw interceptions. cant blame this loss on youth...the veterans were the problem.

excellent job defense...you seem to be the only hope this long/long/long year

thanks heavens for mens soccer and look forward to bball

This is getting way too much to handle, we'll be extremely lucky to squeak out 5 wins this season. I like Ralph a lot, but it's time for him to step aside...not that he will, and the AD won't fire him because it will cost too much money to buy him out. Same with Franklin, he gets a million if he doesn't get the coaching job. I'm sick and tired of being patient with the program, sick and tired of the same excuses being recycled yearly (youth, inexperience, can't get through to the kids, etc.), sick and tired of the program being mediocre, and sick and tired of all the excuses/reasons why we should all be happy about our mediocre...at best...football program.

What's the excuse going to be this week Ralph?, c'mon, i know you have a bag full, toss another one out there.....can't wait to see what you come up with. The program is in a downward spiral. Embarrasing.

Franklin agreeing to the 1 million buy out was the smartest thing he did and one of the dumbest things the AD Dept agreed to. Franklin's offensive plays are as potent as dieting tips from Ralph. Let's buy these guys out and kick Yow to the curb. Her time is done, she can not get us to the next level.

Well another disaster 34-13. Fumbles, interceptions, no quarterback, running game. The only bright spot was the Defense and one great goal line stand like the old days.

The Fridgen era needs to end ASAP.

Norman

awful display of football today 2-9 or 3and 8 looks like the final .on this season friedgen has to bear resposibility for this . i like the fidge but losing games in this fashion is unacceptable, excuses are not good enough too many of the same mistakes week after week. i know these are college players but there not good enough to beat towson at this point , quit feeling sorry for yourselves stand up and fight maryland.

If that bum Friedgen syill has a job tommorow, there sgould be a full-scale investigation!

Ralph has done a lot for the program, but I think his time has come to step aside and focus more on fundraising. The last three years, it seems that he has been spending a lot of time trying to help raise funds and sell a team that is lacking in talent due to a lot of misses in recruiting, both in players they could not get and players they did get that have not worked out.

FYI to the kool aid drinkers.Cal got thumped by 38 at Oregon today. As i said last week after the Minnesota game, they are not that great. We are just that bad.We will be lucky to win 3 games this year.Make a change or get used to it.

I can forgive a lot, but dead ball fouls? Never thought I'd see a Friedgen team do this kind of thing.

i agree with the kool aid. it is going to take the season ticket holders to walk out and don't renew. debbie yaw is a total moron. this team is absolutely awful!!!! wait til the ACC games..........maybe i will have elective brain surgery to find out why i keep renewing my 4 seats...
