Notes from Maryland's 72-51 win over Bryant
* Gary Williams has used three starting fives this season. The current three-guard lineup of Eric Hayes, Greivis Vasquez, Adrian Bowie, Landon Milbourne and Dave Neal is 5-0.
* Neal has become quite the versatile player, capable of hitting jump hooks in the lane or jumpers from the wings.
* Bryant committed 19 turnovers, and that was the ballgame. Many of the miscues came off Maryland's press. "We're pressing every time," said Greivis Vasquez, who seems to like and appreciate this team more than last season's unit. He's a happier camper.

I am happy for the win but I really expected a larger blow out. GV was right, they will watch the tape and see that they did not play for 40 minutes. Oh well, a win is a win.
It appears GW has settled on his starting 5...and I like it. It seems like DN starts with the points (on jumpers) and then the rest of the crew catch up during the middle of the 1st half...as long as it works, that will be great.
The second unit really needs to get better (SM, DN, BD & CT cost us some points today...i believe the lead would have been larger if the mentioned cast above did not screw up towards the ending of the 2nd half).
If the 2nd cast does not turn it up (along with the starting 5 continuing to do well), G Tech may spank us good...and Miami will definitely turn Comcast Center into their home court.
Don't want that to happen.
Anyways, Go Terps!.

a win is always good but beating a team the 99.5% of college basketball fans never heard of by 21 is not impressive and only out rebounding bryant by one is horrible.
