Stunning
I'm stunned at this outcome, folks. I'm virtually blog-less.
I had thought Virginia would rise to the occasion, but this? This is domination. It's going to be hard for fans to trust the Terps again after this --- to rely on the team to put forth a consistent effort from one game to the next.
Virginia has 22 first downs, by the way. Maryland has eight.

This is more embarassing than the Mid Tenn St. loss. Ralph's been wary of a let down all week and obviously he knew something wasn't right with his team. It's a shame he couldn't get it fixed in practice.
For whatever reason, this team (since the dawn of time) has no problem playing up or down (usually) to its opponent. All this means is continued mediocrity and another 7-6 or 6-7 season with some POS bowl game to go with it.
Can't wait for Wake Forest........

I'm so sick and tired of Maryland playing down to their competition, enough! Most of the coaching staff should be fired tonight! There is positively no excuse what-so-ever in going to Virginia and laying a big fat egg! Don't you think that after decades of their truly awful 3-4 defense, they would try and make a change? You can't tell me that they can't find somebody on that team to play a fourth down lineman and switch to a 4-3! The defense is awful! And the play calling on the offense, wow, what a joke! How can one of the most exciting players in the ACC, or in the nation for that matter, in Haywood-Bey only have 12 receptions coming into the Virginia game? Anybody care to comment on that one? And when they finally do get some talent on the team you have idiots like Aaron Henderson who leaves early, only to not even get drafted!? Maryland will never be an elite program, unless they get an elite coach. I've had season tickets for the last 25 to 30 years, but no more, you can stick a fork in me because I'm done!!!

UTTER DISAPPOINMENT! (MAYBE WORSE THAN THE MIDDLE TN GAME - ?) I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY BLEW THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO SET UP THIER SEASON.....!
I LOVE THE TERPS BUT THIS WAS PATHETIC - SAME OLD CRAP - MAKE THE GOOD TEAMS LOOK BAD AND THE BAD TEAMS LOOK GREAT! -
Nice for the defense to not show up...or the offensive line..Nice on side kick to start the half......Way to get the ball to Heyward-Bey - 0 yards receiving or rushing for that matter....
So much for beating Cal and Clemson. If they somehow beat Wake they will go and find a way to lose to NC State.... this is beyond frustrating.
THAT WAS EMBARRASSING!

Wow. That's all I can really say about the effort the Terps but in tonight. The Terps successfully undid their big win vs. Clemson
This is a team was on the verge of being ranked heading into a bye week. Since they weren't ranked and had previously lost to MTSU (another heavy underdog) you would think that Maryland would play some inspirational ball. Well, that didn't happen and now the Terps have some serious catching up to do if they want to be considered an "Orange Bowl Caliber team".

Stunning is the perfect word.
It's so hard to watch a game like that. You invest so much emotion in this team, and when they throw away a road win at Clemson on a team they should walk all over, especially after the tough lose to UVA at home last year, it just makes me depressed.
On the bright side, and this is the only bright side I can possibly think of right now, Maryland tends to bounce back from terrible loses (we've seen this TOO MANY times) with inspired performances and big wins against tough teams. They did it earlier this year against Cal. If they can right the ship against WF in two weeks, we can be somewhat happy with a 2-1 ACC record, but still thinking about what could have been...

If you looked at the schedule at the beginning of the season, at this point we should have been 4-2. Sure the two losses are not where we thought but the season is not lost and a bowl game is in sight. All this means is we will beat vtech and lose big to nc state!!???
