Hard knocks, indeed

Former Terrapins running back Keon Lattimore is featured in a recent episode of HBO's Hard Knocks, the football reality program focusing this year on the Dallas Cowboys' training camp.

Lattimore would have just as soon avoided the cameras.

First, he's shown stumbling on some stairs. Then he drops a few balls. Then he's chastised by offensive coordinator Jason Garrett for not being adequately prepared.

Finally, Lattimore -- shown at one point wearing a Terps T-shirt -- calls his brother, Ray Lewis of the Ravens.

Lewis tells his bro that he loves him.

Programming note: I've got some vacation time coming, but will be back with my game face on to do the previews for Week One. We'll be sending other writers/bloggers out to College Park while I'm away.

That is it? Wasted my time reading this.

Don't worry about Keon. It has been reported on Dallas Cowboys talk shows that Lattimore got a 'bad representation'! The scene when he fell on the stairs, well seems he was cramping at the time. That's why someone asked if he was "okay?" The drops were during warm-up drills and nothing more. Mickey Spagnola, a Cowboys beat writer says Lattimore is having a decent camp, and not like the things shown on 'Hard Knocks'!!

Jeff,

Was the media not allowed at the scrimmage Saturday? Was hoping to get something if possible. Enjoy your time off. Just stay away from the Bay Bridge.
