TV times announced for UM football games
Maryland fans will be able to watch their football team early and often this fall.
The Terps’ first three games will be televised, the ACC announced today, starting with UM’s season opener against Delaware. The Aug. 30 matchup at Byrd Stadium kicks off at 3:45 p.m. and will be shown on ESPNU.
Maryland travels to Middle Tennessee State the following Saturday. The game, which starts at 7 p.m., will be televised locally on Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.
On Sept. 13, the Terps host Cal in a noon matchup that will be shown on either ESPN or ESPN2.
The ACC also announced that Maryland’s Thursday, Nov. 6 game at Virginia Tech has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Terps-Hokies matchup will be televised on ESPN.

Can't wait for football season to come around. All of the basketball issues are killing us Terps fan.

Cal at noon on ESPN or ESPN 2 means that it is not a prime time game and ESPN want to have a Better teams at the Better Times.
I am glad I will be able to see it.
I bet our return trip to Cal Next year will be a night game. So kick off will be like 12:30 AM eastern time. Payback for the 9:00 AM game this year.
Not fair that Cal has to play a game at 9:00 AM. Should be an advantage for the terps. (and we will need all we can get.....)

VirginiaTech-GeorgiaTech 3:30
Ohio State at USC 8PM
...are probably the two main reasons we're the early game. At least we're on ESPN or ESPN2.
While I think the 345 or 8pm game time is 'more logical' its about TV scheduling priorities. Would you rather the game be on ESPNU or not at all?
West coasters are used to watching NFL & college games at 9am on weekends. CAL will travel early to get over jet lag although I'm sure it will have some effect - just as it does when any team travels out of their time zone.
We'll be setting up tailgate at 6am as we do for any noon game. Looking forward to trip to CAL next fall too - I dont care what time the game starts. GO TERPS!

The 3:45 game against Delaware will cook fans. I'm on the sunny side of the field. The early games against non-ACC opponents should start at 7 or 7:30. Sad that TV rules everything.

I'm going to miss playing West Virginia this year (and next) - Even though they have had the better of us the past few years, that's always my favorite game. The WV fans have to be the craziest fans out there. Are we playing them in the future?
With the ACC being so weak, maybe we can come out on top and get to a BCS game. I don't think it helps we play Delaware and Middle Tenn State but at least that's 2 easy wins.
Go Terps!
