Another ineligible player lost for Terps

Maryland senior defensive lineman Omarr Savage was declared academically ineligible and is no longer with the team, a school spokesman confirmed today.

Savage was listed No. 2 on the spring depth chart behind Dre Moore at defensive tackle. He played in four games last season and made three tackles. Savage missed six games last year because of injury.

Thanks for getting this info. Even with Savage off the squad, it looks like the Terps have "overbooked" by a few scholarships. Any chance you can find out from the Athletic Department which incoming freshmen are expected to "grey shirt?"
