City to lift Phase 2 snow rules at midnight
Baltimore will be lifting its Phase 2 snow emergency at midnight, thus allowing parking in snow emergency lanes where it has been prohibited since the snows began falling Feb. 5-6, city Transportation Department spokeswoman Kathy Chopper says.
But if you're one of the many still parked in such zones, you can't rest easy yet. The city will keep towing tonight up to the point when the restrictions are lifted, Chopper said.
Would that lifting the emergency meant that the snow was going away.

Can the mayor also announce that the practice of saving spots with chairs is still illegal?
Now that she made her announcement that this ridiculous practice is being allowed it has become an excuse for laziness. The snow is gone and yet people continue to "save" spots. Enough is enough!

Jaime must not live in Canton or CV, which are both still very much under snow. It may be pretty lame, but saving spots is the only way I can park anywhere near my home until the city decides to plow my neighborhood.
If you find it so irksome, you can do what I do and travel with a shovel so I can dig my own spot out when I need to go elsewhere in the city.

At this point, people aren't saving spots they dug out themselves. Not only is the parking spot in front of my house on its third set of "owners", but I've seen people saving prime spots in Patterson Park.
