D.C. Metro Red Line back in full operations
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Administration says the Metro Red Line has resumed full operations for the first time since Monday's fatal train accident that killed nine people.

That may be so but it sure didn't feel like it this morning (7:15).
Trains running every 10 min or so and the plateforms were so overcrowded it took a couple min to get from the last car to the escalators in Gallary Place

The crash may have been resolved, but the metro was certainly not operating smoothly today. Trains more like every 15 minutes and we waited at each station for ten minutes for some apparently dysfunctional train ahead of us to move. The city needs to get the metro working or people will stop using it. In fact, I hope ridership does drop significantly enough to send a message.
