Two questions
It was reported that the operator of the train was operating in Automatic Train Operation Mode. In light of this, have train operators been instructed to operate in Manual Mode until the NTSB completes its investigation?

Where does the Safety Department fall under the organizational structure of WMATA? Does it report to the CEO or falls under some other senior staff member?
