Bus riders: Here's something cool
Here's something interesting from Howard Transit: a web site that'll tell your cell phone or Blackberry when the next bus is coming. All transit agencies should have something like this.

NextBus also runs San Francisco's system; when I was there a few weeks ago it was remarkably accurate and very easy to use on a mobile browser. These types of innovations can really expand the ridership base by making transit more convenient and less nebulous. Let's hope the MTA adopts it for Baltimore soon!

The MTA has AVL systems for the buses, so they already are tracked with a very similar system.
Methinks maybe they don't already offer this because it would be obvious to more than just regular transit riders how often buses are early/late.
