The Baltimore Fiber Symposium LIVE on the Web today

Today is the Baltimore Fiber symposium, where a couple hundred business folks are gathering at the University of Baltimore to talk about bringing ultra-high-speed fiber-optic capability to Baltimore.

A group of volunteers and city officials applied to Google for a chance to be part of a pilot project a couple months ago. But many involved in the effort are trying to plan for a future for Baltimore fiber optic that may not involve Google (in case the search giant loses its mind and decides NOT to pick Baltimore. :-)

You can watch today's symposium live at this web address:

The Twitter hashtag for the event is #bmorefiber.
