Exclusive! Steve Jobs comments to BaltTech

steveJobs.jpgA couple days ago, I put up a blog poll asking people if they would buy an iPhone if it came to Verizon's network.

I got a very good response from the Verizon lovers (and some AT&T haters).

I was pleasantly amused to discover this morning that "Steve Jobs" of Apple had left an interesting note in the comments of that post.

Skeptically, I shot the real Steve Jobs an email at an address that's not too difficult to find, but which I'm not going to reprint here.

I asked him if he had left the comment on my blog, and he replied, via his iPhone......

"Not me."

Below is the full email exchange:

(from Steve Jobs)

Not me.

Hi Mr. Jobs, Sorry to bother you with this, but I wanted to make sure someone who left a comment on my blog in your name was actually you. If it is not, I will delete it. The link to my blog post is here: http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/news/technology/2010/03/verizon_iphone_would_you_buy.html

And here is the comment that was left:

Sorry to bust the Verizon bubble, but the answer is still No. The CDMA is in the works for China currently. Verizon will not have our iPhone until the full release of LTE in late 2012. The exclusive agreement with AT&T is coming to an end this year but they will still carry it. We will be adding T-Mobile this year though in order to Legitimize all the current iPhone users unlocked on their network. Thanks for your time.

Best,
