Apple Store down for update -- new MacBook Pros on the way?

News flash: The Apple Store is down for an update and rumors are a-flying that Apple is introducing a refreshed line-up of MacBook Pro laptops.

Macrumors.com has the leaked specifications on the computers. So does AppleInsider. Apple fans are still still smarting from buying the iPad -- anybody gonna buy a laptop today, too?

UPDATE: The store is back up and there are new MacBook Pros for sale.

It's been a long time coming, and while the new updates aren't quite as exciting as a brand new design, those of us looking for an upgrade will really welcome the improved specs.

As great as today's MacBooks look, it's interesting to remember that they weren't always so sleek. Here's a photo tour of some of today's MacBook predecessors!
