Retired General Wesley Clark, one of Sen. Hillary Clinton's most ardent supporters, has sent a letter to his own supporters from his 2004 presidential bid. In his letter, Clark urges his people to get behind Sen. Barack Obama to help him win the White House in November.

Could it be a signal of what's to come Saturday afternoon when Clinton holds a rally at the National Building Museum?

Calling it a "critical mission," Clark asked voters to do everything they can to help elect Obama.

"Hillary Clinton ran an amazing race. She inspired millions. Our party is a better party because of her campaign, and our nation is a better nation because of her service. She is and will always be a friend whom I admire," Clark wrote.

"I congratulate Senator Barack Obama on securing the nomination. His historic campaign has touched lives and his message has moved people in every corner of America. I believe he is not only ready for the challenge but will be a great President," Clark's letter said.

Here is the full letter:

"There has never been a more important election in my lifetime -- with a war waging, gas prices at record highs, our health care in crisis, and our nation's standing around the world severely diminished. I spent the last year traveling across the country talking to great Americans in Iowa, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Ohio, Texas, South Dakota, Indiana and many other places. They all agree on one thing: This country needs new leadership, and it's time for change.

Many of you in the Clark community answered the call. Some of you worked tirelessly for Senator Clinton while others poured hours into Senator Obama's campaign. You did this because you were willing to sacrifice your time and energy to bring the change we so desperately need. I can't thank you enough for all you have done.

Now I am asking you to come together and make sure Barack Obama is our next president. This is a critical mission.

Hillary Clinton ran an amazing race. She inspired millions. Our party is a better party because of her campaign, and our nation is a better nation because of her service. She is and will always be a friend whom I admire.

I congratulate Senator Barack Obama on securing the nomination. His historic campaign has touched lives and his message has moved people in every corner of America. I believe he is not only ready for the challenge but will be a great President.

It's time our party comes together to stand behind Senator Obama as we move forward in this election season. I look forward to doing everything I can to help Senator Obama's campaign. While I respect John McCain's service, I know exactly what he stands for -- Bush's third term. America is a great nation, and our people deserve more. We need Barack Obama to be our next president.

Sincerely,

Wes Clark

...lets see now, that's Rezko, Ayers, Wright and Clark all behind Obama, with Syria, Iran and North Korea waiting in the wings.

I've though of him before as an anti-Bush military man who would make a great running mate as Vice President, with Obama.

Even more so, now!

Clark for Veep!!

What has Clark done for anybody lately that amounts to productive effort? If I recall, he is working for a Soros think tank and acting smart. Too bad he was fired for insubordination ala General McClellan many moons ago.

Clark's one of the oft mentioned VP possibles. Clearly he would have been Clinton's pick for herself. It wouldn't have bothered her to overlook Obama as unelectable. She will want Clark for VP if she cannot have it as she feels it will give her more access. We have not even started to see the way she will leverage her voters for power for herself.

Wes Clark would be 10 times the VP that Hillary would. And he'd have the added benefit of not sinking Obama's run with his scandals and ugliness.

Will Obama be an appeaser to Hillary and her terrorist campaign to be the Vice President?

Will he let her hold America and more specifically the Democratic party hostage and sink his own candidacy by stroking the egos of irrelevant losers in the DLC and Pro-Israel establishment... losers that make up the only political support behind Hillary at this point?

I hope not.

This will be Obama's first big test... to see if he's an appeaser or a guy with integrity who won't let a racebaiting egomaniacally desperate political hack like Hillary Clinton into his White House.

The Clintons are History, with a capital H. And thank the Lord. So let's keep it that way.

So saith the man who will likely be high on the list of Vice Presidential candidates. Mark my word in the coming weeks we will hear his name often. He is probably the only candidate among the media's designated VP candidates who has a national security pedigree to muff the Republican mantra about they are the party of national security. Who better than a retired 4 star who is an expert in mid east affairs, engineered the war in Kosovo, has a background in economics, knows how the intelligence and security apparatus of the government works, and understands and respects chains of command. He was born in Chicago so that should make all the Chicagoans thrilled to see two of their own in the White House.

We need a military leader in the White House and I think General Wesley Clark would be an excellent Vice President.

A graduate of West Point and honored with numerous decorations, his strategic and disciplined point of view would balance Senator Obama's idealistic and open mindset.

We are still in the middle of a war and in the last 16 years, we have not had any military experience at the top post.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. We are not going to vote for Obama. We will send a strong mesage to the DNC, Jeremiah Wright, Michael Pfleger, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko and others CrooksThe DNC will discover the limit of their corrupted system. They did everything to get the weak candidate to the top. they now want people who got fooled once will never forget it.

WOW,ALL FIVE LETTERS LOSER SENT OUT TO HIS SUPPORTERS ARRIVED.

POLITICS OF REACTION

Hey "Max" how was Sex and the City?

Never would I vote for anyone that has never served to be Commander-in-Chief. How can anyone understand the horrors of war and the cost other than one whom has been there?

Hi Americans

I’m Pete Andrews from Europe we here pray to God that John McCain win the general Election in America. We Europeans love to see your country in this status.

It’s god for our economics. Our currency is value. You guys should keep fighting wars. I believe McCain will do your good as president. He will kill all the Arab rebels.

I wish Hillary could have won too. I’m planning to buy a house in Califonia early next year. I wish your currency stays in this way until next year. the house cost 50.000 USD which = 31.7865 EUR . that will be a great start for a guy like me you know.I will later sell it after all the wars.
Anyway I love this site please No Obama. No vote.
I wish China get involve in wars for their economics to lose power too. because the want to be supper power you know.. people by 2020 they will be number one in the world. Let Europe and U.S stop them.

Good lock people remember NO obama.
John Mccain all the way.

Hillary Clinton for ambassador to Papua New Guinea !

Hurray For Hillary !!!

Hip Hip

H-U-R-R-A-Y !!!

Rob -- do ya think that's WHY we're embeded in a war BECAUSE Bush "never served", as you've stated.

Max -- so you intend to be selfish to 300 million Americans because you assumed you were fooled?

Dear American Voters,

Hon. Senator McCain and Obama, besides each of them having many attributes, qualification, and characteristics. The critical differences between the two respected presidential presumptive nominees are ? under:

1. Presidential "Temperament and Composer".
2. Little Washington "insider Versus outsider" experience.
3. Vision and mission for our nation future rather than past.
4. American policies, " first USA centric" than any other country [ ies ] centric.

In my professional opinion one hon. senator has it and the other does not.

The need of our next movement is that our Greatgrand Nation has to address many present and future challenges and utilize opportunities with a new clean slate and Senator. I am sure RNC and other groups will use seduction, confusion, and deception to win.

The American people are too smart to see thru their seduction, confusion, and deception.

God Bless America. its diverse people, and our Greatgrand Nation.

Our Greatgrand nation needs real change and change in inconsistant leadership, at every level and thru next few decades.

I am sure Senator Obama with help of senator Clinton can deliver that real change in washington and its past leadership.

Stay involved, stay engaged, and stay informed. Do not let any incoming seduction, deception, and or confusion effect your vote[s].

Yours truly,

Thank you General Clark for asking Democrats to come together to support Obama for the presidential candidate. Your words are listened to and welcomed.

I absolutely love General Clark, but the whiney wimps at his blog are crying like big whiney arse racists.

Hey CCN jerks: Good luck with old man McSAME's campaign.

I for one will be voting along with General Wes Clark for the Democratic nominee!

Thank you General Clark for asking Democrats to come together to support Obama for the presidential candidate. Your words are listened to and welcomed.

Rob,

I am a Veteran who has served two tours (so far) in Iraq.

Guess what? If you polled the U.S. troops over here, you would see that they are overwhelmingly for Obama.

While it may be your desire to have a military prerequisite, you will NOT find that here. You will also not find very many troops who want to vote for a 3rd Bush term. We've had enough sir. You can vote for McCain. Most of us will be supporting Senator Obama!

Thank you General Clark in your endorsement of Barack Obama.

I am from India and we want McCain - he will continue to outsource and will be good for us. I personally am very inspired by Obama though and even though he may not be good for India's economy, I think he will be good for the world. (and for america, but I suppose that is not a good enough reason to vote for somoene in the US, otherwise Bush wouldnt have been voted in twice)

You probably voted for GWB twice, didn't ya Rob? Why, he and his running mate both server honorably, saw the horror and the cost and didn't get us into another useless, meaningless war that's bleeding this country dry because of that experience, huh?

No one should question McCain's sacrifice for his country but five years as a POW adds nothing to his qualifications. There is no such thing as an unwounded combat veteran. Anyone who pretends otherwise is fooling himself.

Sorry Wes, I could never ever support him.

Clark for VP! Thanks Wes!

McCain has done a complete "about face" on his principles compared to 2000 when he was running against Bush. I cannot respect any person who does that. Besides 72 years old is too old to go through the stress a President will endure.

I believe that Mr. Clark is right on.
1st bush ditched the Air National Guard, and rummy was no sec. Of defense.
2nd Clark is probably better to run for president of the us more than mccain.
3rd I also believe that john mccain must have anger issues like bush jr., being a POW.
4th Senator O and Wes Clark seem to be smarter than the whole GOP.

I thank mccain for serving his country.

There are different ways of serving.

I come from a military back ground.

IN ALL WES CLARK IS OBVIOUSLY A BETTER WAR AND DEFENSE MANAGER THAN JOHN MCCAIN!!!

OBVIOUSLY !

WES CLARK IS TELLING IT LIKE A REAL GENERAL WOULD.

THAT OTHER SO CALLED ADMIRAL OF THE UNITED STATES NAVY, EVEN TAKES SHOTS AT GENERAL CLARK LIKE A BABY.
THE ROMANS AND THE OLD HISTORIES MILITARY WOULD THROW OUT THIS SO CALLED ADMIRAL.

DID I TELL YOU MY FATHER WAS FIRST ENLISTED THEN BECAME AN OFFICER?
RETIRED AS AN AIR FORCE GENERAL.

JUST LIKE EVERYONE SAID BUSH DOES NOT NEED TO BE SMART THERE IS CARL ROVE AND ETC....

BARACK HAS BEEN A VERY CONTIENTOUS PUBLIC SERVENT, AND CAN BETTER THAN BUSH, DELIGATE TO " QUALIFIED " PERSONS.

THANK YOU.

SHIMA
