It was in the stars, some say, that Hillary Clinton would have to concede defeat to Barack Obama.
She is a Scorpio.
And the general election contest?
Well, it appears to be a virtual tie, according to the astrological record, a tie which diviners of such matters propose settling with the elements. Bear with us:
The astrological record of presidential elections suggests that Leos, such as Obama, prevail in contests with Scorpios.
So say the people at ZODIAC Vodka - and let's be clear, here, that we have not taken the time to verify their research. We will gladly leave this one to the makers of the "luxury potato vodka handcrafted and distilled in Idaho'' - which is a red state, stars aside.
So who are they betting on now?
"The inevitable and unprecedented McCain/Obama or Virgo/Leo match-up has never before been seen in a U.S. election,'' says Kimberly Ashton, of Ink Foundry PR, on behalf of the distiller. "Virgo has a win average of 33 percent, three points below Leo.''
That's within the astrological margin of error, for sure.
Here's the fun part:
"With such a marginal difference, the elemental factor had to be taken into account: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water,'' Ashton explains, taking us into a whole other swamp of extraterrestial political science-fiction. "Fire (Obama) has been a historical tie breaker, making him ZODIAC Vodka's predicted 44th president.''
Seems clear as vodka to us.

We need Water (McCain) more than we need Fire (Obama). Fire is a luxury.
Water also beats Fire.
So I'd give the edge to McCain.
But that's just me. The real "deciders" at this have to be Nancy's people.

A barrel of Oil hit $139.01 on the stock market today !! If America had listened to former President Jimmy Carter, 30 years ago, instead of the Bushes, Reagan and Clinton, we would not be in the crisis we are in presently !! He offered America steps, from which we could extricate ourselves from the strangle-hold Oil has on our nation. Like a bunch of sheep, we followed Big Oil instead, and bought cheap gas for gas guzzlers from Big Auto. Now, we have citizens dying In Iraq for Big Oil and Big Auto and an Incompetent Republican administration and many more citizens maimed and psychically impaired from this illegal war. What are we going to do about it ?!! Probably, reward the incompetent Party that enabled these travesties to occur, the Republicans !! I hope I am wrong, but I would not be surprised, given the ideological blindness of the Republicans and the Clinton supporters !!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE AND WHOLE. NOW.

If the media does it real job of revealing who these candidates are (especially Obama, since this has not happen with him), & if the voters are rational & intelligent (which is questionable at the least), then one can only expect an Obama landslide. The whole world would breathe a BIG breath of happy relief (but not the monied powers-to-be rulers).
