The Swamp

by Whitney Blair Wyckoff

He couldn't win a single state, but it looks like erstwhile presidential hopeful Ron Paul is beating the other candidates at something.

Paul's book,The Revolution: A Manifesto, is topping the charts on Amazon.com. Right now, it's the No. 1 seller on their Web Site.

Other politicians, such as former President Jimmy Carter and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich have books in the Top 50.

But, the closest any of the presidential candidates come to Paul's standing is Barack Obama with The Audacity of Hope, which sat at No. 108 on Amazon's best seller list at the time this was posted.

"If it should become a publishing phenomenon, The Revolution: A Manifesto can fuel our revolution for a long time to come," said Paul in a letter posted on his campaign Web site.

The book was officially released yesterday, according to a release.

Maybe it will be a new Wanna-Paul ticket, instead of Bee, ticket. It's not quite as catchy, but it still spells the same thing: A Republican ticket is a disaster that will happen. That's a guaranty!!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE. NOW.

It 's not "[h]e couldn't win a single state" or "erstwhile", but rather "while I, with the rest of the corporate media, made sure not a single positive article was ever published, Dr Paul message is not going away".

And, BTW, read the book! There's a free preview on Amazon, and, besides, it's not that expensive. About $12.

It just may open your eyes. :-)

IF IT WILL WAKE-UP THE BRAIN-WASHED NON-FOREIGN AMERICAN....IT WILL BE A MOST WONDERFUL THING.
WRITE-IN VOTE FOR RON PAUL....TO BRING BACK OUR ALMOST SANE "NON-SURVEILLANCE" AMERICA OF JEFFERSON AND MY GRANDFATHER.

Ron Paul beats the other canidates at everything important. I don't read political books usually but this is a good straight-forward read on American politics that everyone should read. Recomended from an average Joe.

I have been sending letters to congress and the senate about the show that was on our local tv. In 1972 the oil companies drilled 4 holes on Gull Island off of Alaska. Each hole was 40 miles apart. They hit oil everytime. The pressure is 1,500 lbs which means an ocean of oil that they wont develop because they want to keep raising the price & profits.

UM WRONG! He wont Louisiana and Alaska.

Um wrong. He did not win Louisiana and Alaska. That's just Paul fanatics spinning numbers and spreading blogosphere propoganda in the hopes that nobody will actually check.

Ron Paul got clobbered just about everywheres. His foreign policy views are just horrendous. He supports Castro, Hugo Chavez, the North Vietnamese Communists and even makes excuses for Saddam Hussein.

A lover of freedom Ron Paul is clearly not. More like a populist leftwinger.

Sounds like Mr. Dondero is a bit bitter about his former employer.

eric, while you may have been some "senior aid" or something. i think you miss what ron is saying about these countries. he does not "support" them at all. he merely believes as our framers believed, that we should tear down our walls of differences with these countries, open up free and fair trade, no allies, no stupid treaty's, just fair business. thet thier country be their country, and our contry be our country. im sure if one of these other countries were to attack us on our soil, and if we werent stretched across the globe (militarily), and if the congress and the people actually declair war, then ron paul would have no problem fighting for our just cause!

Dondero was Fired.

That Dondero was fired, makes his comments here suspect. In 1999, well before the attacks of 9/11, Dr. Paul spoke at the anti-war convention in Burlingame CA. He was against Clinton's interventions and of the growing neocon inluence in Republican politics. So he didn't make the "about face" Dondero claims occurred just after 9.11. He's been railing against unconstitutional wars as long as I can remember.

Dondero can't be taken seriously when it comes to Ron Paul.

Ron Paul has always introduced common sense legislation based off the principles of freedom declared in the constitution. He does not try to dictate what citizens do with their money. If you tax people less then they will have more money to spend. When they spend more it creates jobs and jobs allow for people to spend(the cycle). That is how it is. Listen to any socialist democrat. They are always defending there need to rob you and sacrifice your freedom. Leave mine alone.

Well, then take your kids out of school, stop using those evil government supplied roads bridges air traffic control system, trust every company you deal with not to cheat, pollute or provide unsafe products, stop using the internet, or listening to any broadcasts, accept losing your money if your bank fails, no more GPS or weather satellites, and never take your kids to a park again.

Common Good:

Here's the deal, you support the right of people to build private alternatives to those things, and I'll gladly switch when they become available.

Last time I checked though, I pay to use the internet.

Seriously though, why don't you also ask that I don't make any use from the light of the full moon? After all, didn't astronauts from a government program land there?

Anyway, as a delegate to the Texas state GOP convention I look forward to showing my support for Ron Paul and my lack of confidence in McCain. Its time to bring the troops home.

Hell yeah Ron Paul won Louisiana and Alaska! Dr. Paul does NOT support Castro or other left wing commies he simply states that the U.S. ought to take care of it's own. Prove to me that Dr. Paul gives monetary aid or support to any commie or choke on it! Read CONFESSIONS OF AN ECONOMIC HITMAN as to more reasons to stay out of other countries affairs. Choke!
