With the political day just getting underway, Sen. Barack Obama has already picked up two additional superdelegate endorsements. They come from New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin and Indiana Rep. Joe Donnelly.
The Obama campaign also has scheduled a conference call later this morning with former Colorado Gov. and former Democratic National Committee Chairman Roy Romer, suggesting Romer also may endorse Obama today.

An endorsement by Ray Nagin? Doesn't Obama recall Nagin's conduct after Katrina?
Better slide out from under that one ~ didn't the Rev. Wright fiasco teach him that a man is known by the company he keeps?

Carole.....Chertoff told members of Congress on October 19, 2005, that the Federal Emergency Management Agency's "lack of planning, not the failures of state and local officials, was to blame for much of what went wrong with the government's response to Hurricane Katrina" Now maybe you would like to argue what Chertoff said..he's Bushs' appointee. I would worry more about McBuhs' association with Bush.

Why doesn't that apply to McCain? His staff is full of paid propagandists for some of the most oppressive regimes on the planet, yet you're more upset that Obama is endorsed by Ray Nagin?
If John McCain is known by the companny he keeps, look up Doug Goodyear, the man he chose to run the convention for him. A man who made money running a PR campaign to make the Junta in Myanmar look good.
I'll take Rev. Wright or Ray Nagin over that scumbag any day.

nagin is a good man. Just misunderstood, he did get action from Prez Bush. Sometimes you need to do schock theraphy for some people in order for them to listen, or they will continue to do fly bys.

Yes, Nagin fleeing his city in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was leadership in action! In fact, what has Nagin done to improve the fortunes of HIS city???

I guess you disagree with Chertoff...huh...John D. The one that talks about facts. Care to disclaim what Chertoff said?

It almost reminds you of President Bush's fly around, while 9-11 was happening, Right, " John D "?? Oh, that's right, you, Republicans, have faulty memories!! You only remember what you need to win your arguement and if you can't , you make it up!! Right, " John D "?!!!

Don, I'll try and keep this simple for you so you have a chance at understanding. On 9/11, Bush's fly around was orchestrated by the Secret Service and the military. In matters in which there is or may be danger to the president, the Secret Service takes over. What they say goes.
Also, Bush did return to DC that night.
Hmmm, Nagin abandoned his city for Dallas for weeks.

All of sudden you believe in the media, or did the FBI personally inform you of the reasons for our Incompetent-in-Chief flying around like a scared pigeon!!!

John, please stop lying. It didn't happen. His wife and children evacuated there after the storm. He did not leave the city for weeks as you stated.

There are planty of legitimate reasons to criticize Nagin. This isn't one of them.

Veritas, Media Matters?? I know Frank James and Tim Oliphant get their marching orders from them, but Media Matters has all the credibility of a Rod Blogavich, Tony Rezko, George Ryan troika.

Moving his family out of state when mayor of a city in need is inexcusable. It is his city, he is the mayor of it. And why couldn't his family have been moved closer to home?? In his own state?? Near his city??

Without regard to who the president is, or of what party label is attached behind his name, (hopefully he would still be a president that represents the American people), the in-place operating plan is to get the president air-borne to possibly a SAC site or some other secure, un-advertised location, as John D has stated also. democrats are so committed to anarchy that I suppose it would be hard for them to believe that there could possibly be a pre-existing plan for these sort of contingencies. Nagin's situation and importance just isn't quite the same thing.

John D-
Blog critics? I'm supposed to believe an unsupported statement on a blog like that? Dream on. Also note that the report is dated days after Katrina. Those rumours were later proved to be unfounded. You'll note that media matters provides links to the news organisations that provided the information they post. The person you link to doesn't bother. Who knows who she is or how she got her information.
He sent his family where many many other families were sent after the hurricane. As you may recall Louisiana was overwhelmed by the number of homeless, with their largest city being totally evacuated, that is why so many were sent to Texas. Remember the astrodome?
