Rahm Emanuel of Illinois considers Barack Obama the Democrats' "presumptive nominee," even though he thinks Hillary Clinton still has a chance to win the nomination.
"He is the frontrunner, which makes him the presumptive nominee given how late we are in the schedule," Emanuel said in an interview.
A bold step for the former advisor to Bill Clinton, who has studiously avoided picking sides between the former first lady and his friend from the Illinois delegation?
Not at all, Emanuel said. He said he's not counting Clinton out in the protracted primary fight, an assertion he made at the New Yorker magazine conference this morning.
The fact that the House Democratic caucus chair dropped the magic "presumptive" word caused a bigger stir, of course.
"Stating the obvious to the news media," he told the Tribune afterward, "is news these days."

Of course, he is the nominee of the Democratic Party, at this time! He will make an excellent candidate in the general election. The nation will truly have a choice between Senator McCain and Senator Obama. One is the champion of the old politics and the other is a champion of the new school. For the Republican readers, Senator McCain is of the former and Senator Obama is of the latter!! There really is no choice, if you care about America and want to get her out of the funk, she's in, thanks to the Republicans and President Bush!! A vote for Senator Obama is the beginning of getting America back on the right track!! All aboard, on the Obama Express, all the way to our White House and his Presidency!!
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING THEM HOME, ALIVE. NOW.

you know that if the msm had been upfront with their news reporting of Obama and his relatioship with the Rev and Ayers Rezko and his earmark to the hospital that his wife is a vicec president of one of 13 an all his no show votes people would not have voted for him

Mike Moore was abused by the news media--embarassed that they had failed to cover the big story of how big insurance lets people die.
Even U of C--where Obama's wife works for the hospital--lets people die like Moore filmed it in Sicko.
But he hates Hillary too much because he's childish about how Washington does work for good or bad.
Hillary was outnumbered and outgunned on the Iraq war vote--it wouldn't have mattered.
And, given Obama's pattern of funding and 'present' or absent votes--he'd have done the same thing she did.
So, cut Hillary some slack about just who exactly IS at the top of the ticket right now.
(Say, what happened in Gary? In Iowa? In Minnesota? )
Fact is--given the shaky 'data' right now--it's still a dead heat.
National PATRIARCHY radio and the rest of the media, including the Nation, are in the bag for Obama.
That might, once more, mean being in the bag for the Republicans (*willingly or unwillingly) come the Fall.

Well, if Nobama is the Democratic candidate, it looks like we'll have at least four more years of a Republican in the White House. I'm for Hillary and will either vote for McCain or not vote at all if she's not the candidate. I'm sure that there are many, many others who will do likewise.
