Aren't the people at the Chicago Children's Museum proud to have Rev. Pfleger as one of their chief spokesmen? When he speaks of racial divisions, he should look in a mirror and he'll see one of the chief dividers.

Five years ago, the Cardinal attempted to remove Pfleger from his parish at the same time he transferred another pastor because of the Archdiocese's 12-year rule for a pastor. Pfleger pressured his way to stay and the Cardinal backed down. Now the Catholic Church is left with this embarrassment still in place.

Please be careful of your tongues. there is a time to zip everything. Just bring more controversy for others. Unnecessary apologies. Sen. Clinton is a human being, let us respect her. Rev. Wright is a human being, let us respect everyone.

I thought Christianity was supposed to promote love and peace. The destructive, malicious and divisive commentaries delivered by the Reverends Pfleger, Wright and Hagee, to name a few, are breathtaking in light of the longstanding esteem in which they're held by their hordes of Christian followers. This scenario of the preacher making the inflammatory comments and then begging for forgiveness is all too familiar and my ability to offer forgiveness is waning. I no longer think absolution alone is appropriate for these longstanding theologians. Condemnation from their respective churches and then forced resignations are the only appropriate penalty for this egregious abuse of the pulpit. My tolerance of the Obama campaign has also waned to the point where my vote will now be cast toward someone other than Senator Obama (but not John McCain).

This deranged priest does not represent the thinking of the entire Roman Catholic Church, only a small part of it that seems to be still stuck in the heretical doctrines of Jesuit Liberation Theology.
Believe me, he will receive his fifteen minutes of fame as letters go to his bishop, his cardinal and his Pope.
If this priest wants to make such hate filled remarks in a non catholic church, especially a church in which the theology is not necessarily christian, he should be doing it in his own street clothes, without his collar, so he does not mis represent the teachings of the Holy Roman Catholic Church and misdirect potential converts.
Moreover, if he chooses to say that his remarks in now way represent Obama’s views, again, his priorities are incorrect. He should be apologising to Our Lord and to the Holy Mother of God FIRST.

And if Cardinal George cannot get this bozo under control I guess I will write the Vatican. Perhaps the Cardinal needs help. And it is frustrating to me that this will be the second letter I have had to write to the Vatican about priests in the Chicago Diocese who refuse to listen to their Cardinal.

Because Susan, he attended this church for 20 years, he got married there, his children were baptized there. And time and time again now that it has been exposed, they show nothing but hatred and anger, far from the true beliefs of Christianity, whether it be from a white church or a black church. It is a church of hatred and anger and does not reflect the true teachings of Christ.

Though seemingly mean-spirited and hurtful, and hence unfortunate, I still personally believe that there is an element of truth to his words. As I have said all along, I believe that although Clinton was certainly well qualified (not more) and a formidable candidate at the start, her posture around much of this, and especially of late, has been as if she felt that she was "entitled" to the nomination based on who she is.

Is there any other reason why she continues this nonsense? Anyone else would have already been pummeled to the ground by the Party, but no, not Senator Clinton. Please Read This: YOU LOST! No go sit! I know it hard, but it is true.

Why is it so hard? Any fool know that there is a "pecking order" of power in this country, and one thing is for sure--white men come first, then white women. This has been a "shock for the ages"--Obama rise, I mean. Maybe America is maturing afterall.

Can you even imagine this kind of behavior going on in the White House if Obama is elected? There is a genuine sense of arrogance with all of Obama's people; it's truly amazing. How is this guy going to even get out of the starting gate to deal with the REAL issues like the war, economy, energy policy and domestic isses when he cannot get control of his own house. He is a junior Senator, He has little legislative experience or accomplishments. But he is a smart guy...too smart to let this happen. He should take the position of power in the Senate, wait his eight years, pass some legislation (get some experience), fix his personal life, let HRC fix the country's issues and then run in 2016. Otherwise, we're all screwed for another four years.

Clinton, McCain, Obama, these fiery racist pastors, the racists who believe these sermons, etc. Unfortunately, America has degenerated into a dark cesspool of insulated egotists while the rest of the world truly suffers. The thing that should trouble Obama aren't the comments, those who know of Father Flakey would expect this. The disturbing thing is the reaction of the congregation. They are just eating up the father's racist sermon. These are Barack's fellow congregants. You are judged by the company you keep.

I'd really like to talk to him and explain things - I'm 3 generations from shoeless on my dad's side, and my mom's relatives in Europe grow their own crops and slaughter their own pigs. I am from the SOUTHSIDE of Chicago. Father Pfleger once gave a very fiery Martin Luther King Jr. Day address at - NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY! That's right people - NU that bastion of upper crust! He is not some quack running around being racist! You see, he understands the black church and the struggles for EQUALITY. His sermon spoke to the injustice that Barack has certainly gone through with Mrs. ENTITLEMENT. Thats right I said it AGAIN. NO ONE deserves the right to talk about the Clintons like black people. We benefited from them being in the whitehouse, but the LORD knows we backed them and EARNED everything we got. What is said in a lot of black churches speaks to our hurts, pains and injustices! Its how we build ourselves up and go back out into this world everyday and TAKE IT, TAKE IT, TAKE IT everyday. For every black person that "makes it" there are 10 thousand that get passed over, left behind and treated with racism. And yes, even Father Pfleger knows that. Before you go and right him off as a white racist that hates whites. Do some homework.

As a catholic from Chicago, everyone here knows Fr. Pfleger (and Wright) are basically the local pulpit "shock jocks." How does this constitute news? The media might as well report on video of mentally afflicted street people's rants while their at it. Here's a tip for reporters: There's a homeless woman on Broadway who knows all the nation's best conspiracies. I'm sure she could really shed some light on these primaries! Here in Chicago we ignore our crazy preachers like we do our street people.

Where is the outrage among Hilalry's supporters about her Robert Kneedy and assassination comment. She regulary attends a church group in Washington DC where the pastor is a huge fan of Hitler. Isn't that the greater issue. Also, this guilt by association is ridiculous. Are all we to be held accountable for the words of all our accquaintances and friends? If that was the case is Hillary in bed with criminals because her brother accepted a huge bribe to get pardons for them when her husband was in office. If Pfleger is really not a quack, as Keith says, then why is he still at St. Sabina? Cardinal George informed him in 2001 that he was not going to be appointed to a fourth term as he wasn't appointing ANY Priests to consecutive fourth terms to allow new leadership to develop in the archdiocese.
Did Pfleger accept the judgement of his superior and help develop a new leader? NO! He screamed racism like he always does and threatened to leave the church if he wasn't allowed to stay at St. Sabina. That should tell you how important his faith is to him in relation to getting on television and screaming racism. He was willing to use leaving the church as a negotiating cudgel. That really says it all.
