Unlike Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, who will have some major making up to do when their primary contest is resolved, John McCain and Mike Huckabee are ready friends.
Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor who challenged McCain for the Republican Party's presidential nomination beyond the point when McCain had become the apparent nominee, says their contest remained so civil that he now has nothing to "unsay."
The two rolled through Little Rock yesterday, the first time they had campaigned together, chatting up reporters on McCain's "Straight Talk Express.''
"Governor Huckabee and I had lots of time to chat with each other," McCain said with a laugh. "We became friends on the campaign trail."
McCain fielded the obligatory running mate question with his "standard answer," saying that he didn't want to mention any names yet.
But McCain readily admitted that "millions of Republican voters voted for Governor Huckabee" in the primaries, and he wants him to play a prominent role in his campaign. McCain noted Huckabee still has a 65 percent approval rating in Arkansas.
When reporters asked Huckabee if he planned to campaign for McCain, it was McCain who jumped in to answer with a ready: "Yes."

McCain also has the love of the nutjob Hillary cheerleaders on here, who are only more than happy to give Bush a third term (McCain) because they're angry that their "Hillary for President" fantasy didn't work out....IDIOTS!....oh yeah....and don't forget....it's all Obama's fault too.
Yeah Catherine, I'm talking to you and whatever sock puppet post names you're using today to "disquise" your true identity.

As a Republican, I Hope that Hillary somehow manages to steal the Dem nomination. Nothing fires up our base like getting a chance to vote against a Clinton and this was supposed to be a down year for us.
Thankyou Hillary supporters, keep up the good work!

I hope they run Huckabee. He is a fraud and would make the fact that the ticket is made up of two fake liars glaringly clear.

McCain / Huckabee = 45 state win in November.
Is it true that Barack "Hussein" Obama is the most liberal member of Congress in it's history?

*** BREAKING NEWS ***
A U.S. News report released on April 16, 2008 puts Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt and Mike Huckabee on the same level.
"John McCain's big economic speech today was sort of one part Ronald Reagan (cut taxes, cut spending), one part Mike Huckabee (help for workers; Main Street is as important as Wall Street), and one part Teddy Roosevelt (criticism of "reckless CEOs and speculators").
Huckabee's rapid rise in the Presidential race is capturing the hearts and minds millions of ordinary people all around America.
To be achieve this prestigous level so soon with history's greatest U.S. Presidents in such a remarkable short time period is an outstanding accomplishment for Mike Huckabee.
The alliance between McCain and Huckabee 08 ticket has offically begun. Huckabee's new PAC web site to promote McCain. And McCain calling Wall Street "greedy", was Mike's central theme of those on Main Street vs Wall Street.
The alliance became noticeable between these two men back in December when they worked together to force Romney out of the picture.
The alliance between these two men actually started way before the campaign started last year. In effect both John McCain and Mike Huckabee are related. Mike Huckabee's wife Janet Huckabee's wife's maiden name is McCain too. During the debates it was clear both McCain and Huckabee backed each other to squeeze out all the other candidates. By summer McCain will be officially announcing Huckabee as his VP.

there's a hell of a lot of vamps in this beltway swamp with mouths as foul as their lives. they just missed the fact that Paster Wright cost Obama the election, and the country won't elect Shrillary when she's already 65% not trustworthy according to the latest poll.
McCain and Huckabee have some honor to them. So does Chuck Hagel. Yes there are a few Republicans that do. Not perfect, but better than Bush by far. Yep...Americans are pretty fortunate this time around. McCain wins in November.
