"We've had a terrific week,'' Sen. Barack Obama said after his easy Democratic primary victory in Mississippi on Tuesday. "We won Wyoming and we won Mississippi, and we now have accumulated more delegates. And I think that we just continue to campaign on.''
This was the Illinois senator's take on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews, who asked about an Iowa Republican's criticism that terrorists will dance in the streets if Obama is elected and asked if the Clinton campaign had played the race card in its advertising attack on Obama in Texas.
No, to the race question, replied Obama -- suggesting that Clinton had pulled a page from "the Republican playbook'' with her "3 am phone call'' ad. As for the Iowa congressman's comment about dancing terrorists: "This is the way a guy like Steve King gets on TV or radio.''
"The message that we've had throughout this campaign: We need to change how business is done in Washington; we need to push back some of those special interests, bring the American people together, and start solving problems like health care and education and dealing with the home foreclosure crisis, problems that ordinary folks are trying to grapple with all across the country,'' Obama told his host.
The Department of Defense is reporting today that after reviewing 600,000 Iraqi documents -- "this is our occupying forces have done that,'' Matthews noted last night -- and they have found no connection between the old Iraqi government and al Qaeda.
"Well, I think it just confirms what I knew before we went in, which was there was no connection'' Obama said. "And unfortunately, President Bush and Dick Cheney insisted there was a connection. Sen. Clinton on the floor of the Senate suggested that there was such a connection. I think it was part of a series of misjudgments that have not only cost us dearly in terms of lives lost and people who are injured, has distracted us from Afghanistan and our ability to pin down bin Laden and al Qaeda, but has also cost us hundreds of billions of dollars.
"And I think that one of the things that we haven't talked enough about in this campaign is the connection between the enormous expenditures we're making in Iraq and our inability to deal with some critical pressing economic problems here at home,'' Obama said.
As the campaign heads to Pennsylvania, Mattthews asked Obama what he says to "a working-class person, a white person -- I hate to talk ethnically but I'm going to,'' who lives in Scranton or Erie and remains "enamored of the Clintons because of the job that President Clinton did back in the '90s''?
"I think what I tell them is, is that President Clinton deserves credit for some of the work that he did,'' Obama said. "But that the trends of growing inequality, of jobs being shipped overseas, of wages and incomes flatlined, so that people are having a tougher and tougher time keeping pace with rising costs of everything from gasoline to health care.
"That many of those trends started even before George Bush took office. And the problem we've got in Washington is that a lot of people recognize the problem but we're so paralyzed with the bitter partisanship -- the government is so gummed up because of the influence of big money and lobbyists and special interests that the voices of those folks here talking about are never heard. That's not the priority.
"And what this campaign has been about is to try to restore that sense that Washington is fighting for the working family and is actually trying to get some things done,'' he said. "And I've got a track record of doing that over 20 years. My first work as -- in public service was as a
community organizer with -- working with churches that were trying to deal with the steel plants that had closed in the South Side of Chicago, the same way that they closed in parts of Pennsylvania.
"These are the folks I've been fighting for since I got into public service,'' he said. "Hopefully, when they know that track record, and they see the plans we've got to actually invest in infrastructure, invest in clean energy, create a trade system that actually works for American workers, hopefully they'll have confidence that I'm going to be fighting for them when I'm in the White House.''
Obama was asked about Rep. Steve King of Iowa suggesting that radical Islamists will be "dancing in the streets'' if he is elected and that Obama's middle name "does matter.''
"I think this is the way a guy like Steve King gets on TV or radio,'' Obam said. "But, let's look at the facts. Terrorist recruitment has increased significantly since we went into Iraq.
"If anything, the policies that George Bush has followed and that John McCain and Hillary Clinton supported, in going into Iraq, has been an enormous boon,'' he said. "And al Qaeda has been able to strengthen itself because the pressure was taken off them and they are now stronger than any time since 2001.
"So what we're advocating, what I have been talking about throughout this campaign, is changing the conventional wisdom in Washington and going after the terrorists in a ruthless and systematic way in Afghanistan, in the hills between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
"But also, using our diplomacy and our ability to build alliances to restore that sense of trust so that we can start winning hearts and minds,'' he said. "That's how, ultimately, we're going to defeat terrorism around the world.''
He was asked about a commentary by Harvard professor Orlando Patterson that the "3 a.m. phoe call'' ad which Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign ad ran is "racist.''
"I'm not buying into the notion that race played a factor there,'' Obama said. "I do think that Sen. Clinton took a -- page out of the Republican playbook and tried to use fear as a campaign tactic. Now, I think that it is entirely legitimate for us to talk about commander in chief and who can best respond in these situations.
"And I -- what I have said is that if I get a call at 3 in the morning, I am going to answer the phone and apply the same judgment that led me to say that Iraq was going to be a distraction from Afghanistan; that is was going to fan the flames of anti-American sentiment,'' he said. "I'm going to use the same judgment that led me to say that we shouldn't put all of our eggs in the Musharraf basket and that we should actually take out high value al Qaeda targets if the Pakistani government is unwilling to act on our intelligence. Those are the kinds of judgment calls that we want out of a commander in chief.''

Comments
First, Mr. Obama you use that "I was against the war" thing like Rudy Guiliani used the "9-11" thing, and we saw where it got him.
Second, you talk about the expenditures of the war, yet you voted for funding the war, time after time.
Third, you say that you have a track record of fighting for folks. That may be true, however the folks you are referring to are you and your family.

The Clinton strategy is to turn Barak into the BLACK candidate, and they have succeeded. And just like all the other attacks, Barak has been poor at defending himself and then continuing on the offense. Barak is the PEOPLE's candidate, but he gives the people too much credit. They cannot decipher the truth. She goes into a state that is predominantly black and plays the race card and thats reinforced when the numbers come in. This man is above racism, and this is a time for AMERICA to send a clear message that we as a people are not racist or sexist and send the Clinton camp a resounding NO with our vote!! Black, White, Hispanic, ALL. Male and Female, Young and OLD.

Also yesterday Hillary in her constant stream of "kitchen sink" attacks, said that Obama voted to give tax breaks for "Big Oil" companies. Another example of her cherry picking dishonesty, since the bill was essentially a boost to alternate energy production.
I think that many of us are sick of Hillariy' deceptions.
My wife and I, our children, and many of our friends who are Obama supporters, will vote for McCain in the November election if Hillary Clinton is the Dem nominee.

Thank you, Barack, for taking the higher road in the attacks. I'm not as inclined. I burst out laughing at Ferrara's comments that Obama would not be where he is but for his race. If ever there was a true statement, it is that Hillary would not be where she is if she were not a woman. With lackluster talent and ugly "old politics" tactics, she would have been booted out long ago.

Has Obama won all this because is "black" in America. The mother is white. Where are the facts in American history? When in the history of America that a man whose father is an African and mother a "white" American (yet painted "black") ever gets advantage over a "white" woman or a white man? Did Ferraro's parents have to march on Washington in order to sit in front of a bus, in order to be served in bars, in order to be bussed to schools? Is anyone in her family ever lynched? Historical amnesia was part of the rise of Hitlerism and Mussolini. Native-born African-Americans have to struggle for jobs with illegal immigrants in a country of their birth. Advantage? How many “Blacks” are in American prisons? To be “black” in America help a candidate to win 11 straight contests? Has this woman just arrived on planet earth? How many “Blacks” are in position in Hollywood? Does any Ivy league College have a “black” president? How many “black” men or women are in the senate? Frustration and desperation, ah? I think, enough is enough, Obama must simply ignore these infantile comments if they are thrown at him again. Obama, please just stay out of it. He should concentrate on his remarkable campaign and unite the people behind him.

Sundra,
My guess is that you are in that core group of uneducated Hillary supporters.
The Iraq war is still relevant because U.S. troops are still getting killed there every day and we are spending $12billion a day there. If we weren't at war in Iraq, the government will have money so spend on the economy and health care. How is that like 9-11 that happened 6 years ago?
There is no contradiction is opposing the war and supporting proper funding that will ensure that our troops are well prepared. Our troops shouldn't be punished because of Hillary's bad judgment.
Obama was a community organizer on the South side of Chicago. Blacks,Whites, Hispanics and Asians lived there. Even if it was predominantly black, are they any less American than you? He also served in the Illinois senate for 8 years, I suppose the state of Illinois is his family.
It is absolutely mind blowing to see the level of ignorance that still exists in this country. No wonder Hillary is still getting away with her dirty campaign tactics.

"A gaffe is when a politician tells the truth."--Michael Kinsley
And as we can see from the results of the MS Dem primary, Geraldine Ferraro's comments are being proven true once again. The race war among Democrats continues, with MS Black voters going 91% Obama, while MS White voters go 3-1 for Clinton.
When Ferraro said that the prime reason Obama's doing so well among Democrats is his race, she was only declaring a self-evident truth. The majority of Obama's vote is made up of Black people who are voting for Barack because he's Black and guilt ridden white Liberals who are voting for Barack so they can prove to all their friends that they're not racists. Add to that the Fidel Castro lovers and a few strays, and you have the large majority of the Obama coalition.
Absent race, Obama is simply a less-experienced John Edwards.

When people who derive their power from other people confront truth and reality (think Obama), the only way they can respond is by trying to undermine the facts (and the messenger) with innuendoes, distortions and outright lies. After all, the truth is the truth. Go figure.

Don't for a minute think that the Clintons don't share the views of Geraldine Ferraro. Of course they do. Ferraro did not apologise, she said she stands by her statement. Clintons did not fire her as their finance guru, so they are going along with it. Pennsylvania must have more white than black voters, that's their tactic. It made Mississippi a racially divided contest as well, the Clintons trying to point put only blacks vote for Obama. Of course Clintons are trying to dismiss the multitude of white votes Obama received in the many states of middle America, and others, where Obama toppled her by very high margins. That, along with claiming that John McCain is more qualified than Obama is swinging a wrecking ball through the Democratic party. THE CLINTONS JUST DON'T CARE!!!They simply must win at any cost.
SIGH BIG BIG SIGH....Clintons are doing and saying anything to get to the Whitehouse. Every citizen in every country with a TV or computer since the 90's didn't expect anything else, so why should the American people? Are you soooo blind!! THE most corrupt couple in American history!! Why on Gods green earth do you keep electing them? What has Clinton, as senator, done FOR New York? With ALL that experience she keeps talking about, must have been something HUGE. Her senate record must be something astounding. Why don't you look it up?What a joke. The US will be the soap opera the rest of the world tunes into if the Clintons get back the Whitehouse. The world will watch, sigh, shake it's head and wonder why they didn't learn the first time around

Obama is brilliant. He is also self-possesed, has taken the high ground every step of the way, but has shown the will to swing right back when cornered. I'll have him answer that 3 AM call anyday over mood-swinging, poor judgement Billary.

Obama's track record is a slew of legislation beginning with his years in the Illinois state goverment. Problem is, the Dem bosses took legislation that was created by other Dem legislators and made sure Obama's name was placed on those bills as if he had created the legislation himself. Then he "appeared" to all our delight, at the Dem convention, totally polished and packaged, the "turn key" candidate. By his own admission, he started running for president upon his election to the U.S. Senate and hasn't even had time to hold hearings with his own subcommittee. We've been hoodwinked and bamboozled. Enough. If Howard Dean insists on serving up an empty suit, no matter how well cut and tailored, many traditional Dems will find a new home, either as a 3rd party or, temporarily, with the Republicans. I will be one of them. My family has voted straight Dem tickets for 3 generations. But enough is enough. We don't need a "Ken" doll for president.

AfroBaby,
First of all, sorry to disappoint you, but I am a college graduate.
Secondly, I am a veteran who has served in Iraq. My husband is currently on his 3rd tour there. I know all too well what war is like, ok? It is people like me and my husband who have served many years in the service to give people like you the freedom to express yourself so freely like you have. My point is that Obama seems to be making his whole campaign on the fact that he did not vote for the war. And the truth is - he wasn't even in the senate at the time to do so. And seeing as though he has voted "present" over 100 times during his time in the Illinois state senate, I often wondered how he would have actually voted for the war.
You see, being in the military has taught me that there are times when you have to make tough decisions. And soldiers look to their leaders to make these choices. Sometimes you may not make the right decision. But you learn from that. And your soldiers respect you more for having the courage to make those tough decisions, than they would someone who was afraid to make a decision because of fear of messing up.
Of course we have to support our troops. But my support goes beyond that of putting a bumper sticker on my car that says "support our troops". I personally know what the troops are going through. Many people in America only seem to remember that war is still going on, only when it's a political advantage to them. I have friends who have lost their lives fighting for this country. But to many people it's just another number on the casualty counter, unless they have a loved one there. But it's easy for Obama to say that Clinton and McCain had bad judgement because they voted for the war, when he probably would have done the same thing given the circumstances.
Now, what I said about the 9-11 thing was that just as everybody got tired of hearing Guiliani invoke 9-11 in everything, we are tired of hearing Obama invoke "I was against the war from the start" in every speech. For someone who says it's not about the past, but about the future, why doesn't he talk more about how he would handle to war situation now as opposed to how we got there?
One more thing AfroBaby, for you to assume I am a Hillary supporter is reckless. But I will tell you one thing, I am a black , educated woman, who can make up my own mind based on principles and facts about who I should vote for, rather than vote for someone based on race or gender, or popularity, or because Oprah says so. I have a mind of my own. I am a leader - not a follower.

To the Saint Obama Pom Squad, who constantly whine and convort about Clinton: If you want her out of the race, beat her.
Meanwhile, let's all get fired up for Obama's plan for America:
1) Immediately flee from Iraq to make life easier for terrorists;
2) Raise taxes in the midst of a sluggish economy to create bigger government and more social programs;
3) Open borders to encourage more illegal immigration to bankrupt America's border states and major cities;
4) Continue his support of hate in America through friendships with racists Louis Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers.
Obama is not only a buffoon, he's dangerous.

Obama continues to play race games.
First we see Michelle Obama on MSBC spouting that blacks will "wake up and get it" and vote for her husband simply because he black, which insults every African American by implying they lack the intelligence to vote for someone based on something other than race. Even highly liberal National Public Radio sharply criticized that attempt by the Obama campaign to play the race card.
Then we see a four-page memo leaked from the Obama campaign that outlined his strategy to label Clinton racist – the same memo that Tim Russert held up during the SC debate (simply Google "Obama racist memo"). The Obama campaign was clearly dying to play the race card and is looking for anything, including the wholly inane "fairy tale," to pounce on. And the Obama race games continue.
I can't imagine four years of an Obama administration's racial slicing and dicing.
The Obamas are NOT the direction we should be moving in this country. Nobama. No way.

Whether the nominee is Obama or Clinton, the choice is simple:
Do you want 4 more years of war? Do you want 4 more years of debt? Do you want 4 more years of economic slowdown? Do you want 4 more years of mortgage crisis? Do you want 4 more years of incompetence? Do you want 4 more years of $4 gas? Do you want 4 more years of unprotected borders, ports, nuclear plants, water supply, etc?

Why does the truth scare so many people? Obama wants to have only the good things that come from that truth. His drug use - why is talking about that "off the table"? Drug use ?? This is something that is a big problem - yet the media has taken the stance that "since he admitted it and has grown beyond it - it should not be talked about". In America - especially cocaine use - is a big,big story - we are not allowed to talk about it because the media has chosen not to "offend". I for one do think the media steps more lightly around Obama because of his race. We should not talk about his drug use because "they are so proud a black man can stop using and become a good citizen??" Who is playing the race card now?

While some politicians know about job loss, homelessness, pay inequity, and other economic issues as a matter of policy or political positioning, Barack Obama knows about them up close and personal. His work as a community organizer taught him as much about what it means to be a worker in this country as the fact that John Edwards' dad worked in a mill.
Obama: organizer working to improve lives of the unemployed.
Clinton: lawyer on the board of WalMart, working to keep wages low and prevent unionization of workers.

He sounds like a beauty contestant in the Miss America pageant. Yes..I want hope and peace for everyone in this world and I will be a role model for everyone so please put the crown on my head. Why isn't he holding hearings on Afghanistan and Nato instead of just talking about what went wrong- why not try to change it now?? These are valid questions- we r not just trying to tear him down but honestly what has he actually accomplished ?

Pull the black vote out of th equation in the numbers they usually vote, and allocate them in the same fashion, then tell me this is not a contest where race is not a factor. CNN, Abc, etc. forecast the winner in Mississippi before the poles closed and with 0% of the vote in. 90 % of the blacks voted for Obama. If that percentage of the white voters voted for Hillary, what would it be called.
As a former Souht sider, and now living in the South the past 30 years, I am not afraid of a black President. I am afraid of those among the black populace who use the system and do not contribute wanted their entitlments enhanced by the brother as well as now feeling more enabled in the manner in which the disregard the law and human life and procreation. 70% plus of all black babies born are out of wedlock. Thank yu AfroBaby, well, said. I would add one more thing: The Rezko thing. Re: Obamas law firm worked for Rezko. Obama worked for a law firm that did work for Tony R. It was no more his firm than the company I work for is mine. Obama's work consisted of community organizaton. at the time Rezko, who used to be considered an activist developer was working on a low and mixed income development.
Rezko has given and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for literally dozens of candidates, Republicans and dems. The most notable Republican would be G.W. Bush. Hillary and Bill have Rezko money in both their campaigns. So what?? There is no evidence whatsoever that the Clintons or Obama ever gave Tony or his projects, friends, etc any breaks.
What did he get for his money? The ability to be everywhere - have you seen the picture of him with the Clinton's at a Chi. Fundraiser? and to become a high profile political figure.
He used those commections real and perceived to collude with others. Lots of the time, he pressured (blackmailed?) people into giving money to someones campaign to increase his own prestige.
At the end of EVERY story about Rezko's trial, there is a little blurb that says that Obama is not a subject of the trial or the probe in any way.
At the end, where only those concerned with trying to understand the entire story are still reading. Unfortunately, the headlines are getting the notice.

Senator Obama is being mocked, demeaned, insulted, and humiliated by Senator Clinton and her campaign. Yet, Senator Obama is still standing and remains above board in his response to all claims by the bigots in this country.
I want to thank Senator Obama for running a decent campaign, something we Americans are not used to. Because of Senator Obama, I have more black friends, more white friends, more Latino friends, younger friends from all races and we are very proud that Senator Obama is not promoting hate, diviseness, bigotry and lies. Thank you Senator Obama for inspiring my 28 year old son and my 30 year old daughter.
It is a sad day when some Americans claim that they do not want negative campaigning yet when they have a candidate who is not negative or divisive, they try to cut him to pieces. Time out, America. We need to come together. Remember, the whole world is watching.

Third Rezko is ACCUSED of influence peddling, not being a slum lord.

Heres a quick hypothetical question: Whos are all of the Bush haters going to blame if Obama gets elected and we face another terrorist attack? Aren't things going to be all better and peaceful if he's elected? Who will the 'blame American first crowd' blame then?

A lot of interesting comments, however I can not get past the fact that when asked about the possibility of teaming up with Clinton, Obama says he is not competing for second place. For a guy that says OUR country is his best interest, concerns and questions about his desired change can't help but 'float' to the top. A man that is going to change the country; last week he said he is even going to change the world. If you are listening to the person closest to him, his wife says that her husband will 'implement his ideas' as he feels necessary. Hmmm, and Democrats are upset with our President's perspective? I don't know about answering any phone at 3AM, that's the ez part. What happens next is the potentially alarming aspect; are we going to wake up Barrack Hussein Obama to come for help? We gonna ask the woman of the house to come for help? When it comes to handling OUR country's security and business, are either of these candidates looking out for America? WOW.

As to Geraldine Ferraro's comments:
Black, white or gender, notwithstanding, Obama is where he is because he is an extraordinarily attractive human being with an extraordinarily attractive message. Period.
This is just the view of one 75 year old white woman.

hey will,
obama also wins Alabama, alaska, colorado, connecticut, d.c., deleware, georgia, illinois, iowa, kansas, louisiana, maine, maryland, minnesota, missouri, nebraska, n. dakota, s. carolina, mississippi, virginia and washington.
he also has close to a 900k million popular vote lead now and the most pledged delegates.
Giddy doesn't describe it.

Hillary's scheming, manipulative, and underhanded campaign is reflective of the type of White House she will run -- these very campaign managers and supporters that are embarrassing themselves with their words & actions are your future White House staff and Cabinet if she is elected.
Look at Bush/Cheney/Rove in the 2000 campaign -- why should anyone have been surprised at the way their whole time in office was filled with lies and games?
If you're pulling for Hillary, you're pulling for 4 years where half the country despises the president, and nothing will get done. Enough Democrats can't stand her that even a filibuster-proof majority. But that's what some people want -- just to "win" at all costs and get back at the Rebublicans. It's all a big game for so many of us, and regardless of the state of our nation, we are only concerned that our team wins.
As for Obama, he's no saint and he has plenty of his own baggage, but he's got enough experience in government & public service (look at US history for comparisons), and more importantly he's got the qualities I want to see in a president -- thoughtfulness, wisdom, and the ability to lead, organize, & inspire. These are the same reasons the media likes him -- it's just a breath of fresh air to cover and interview someone who comes across as a reasonable, enlightened person. So many other politicians are disengaged & aloof, and every answer is filled with calculated talking points. Obama has his talking points, but they don't define him as a politician or a person.
I'm a white male independent voter in his early 30s. Like many others in this country, I plan to vote for Obama in November -- but if Hillary is the nominee my vote will go to McCain.
With that, I propose the following slogan be adopted in the upcoming primary campaigns: "A Vote for Hillary is a Vote for McCain". Polling data, knowledge of the American public, and plain old common sense will tell you this is true.

Aaron, anyone who's seen the evidence in the indictment knows that Rezko will not get off. You're correct that he's innocent until proven guilty, but by making your statements and not reading the rock solid evidence gathered to indict you're putting yourself into the "free Mike Vick" category. Remember how he protested his innocence until taking a deal?

I have been watching and waiting.
Since African Americans fought for and won the right to vote, white presidential candidates have been getting 100% of divided African American vote and 100% of divided white vote. What is so racist about an African American getting the majority of African American votes?
Since slavery, racist, not so racist, and non-racist white America has thanklessly benefitted from the hard work and support of African Americans. Why can't an African American finally reap the rewards of African American support in America without his African American supporters being called racist?
Are we calling the white supporters of white candidates racists?
We have come a long way but, have fallen way short of the character of a REAL CHRISTIAN NATION.
Racism is so easy, a caveman could do it. Its a PRIMITIVE AND NEGATIVE CHOICE OF PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE AND CONTAINS NO ADMIRABLE OR POSITIVELY PROGRESSIVELY SOCIAL QUALITY. Make the bravely intelligent, respectable, and harder choice that builds admirable character.
I have been watching and waiting. My patience is infinite but, your time is short.

Second, you talk about the expenditures of the war, yet you voted for funding the war, time after time."

There is a big difference between commiting the country to a war and funding the troops once they are in the theatre.
Mr Obama has nothing to be ashamed of and will make an exemplary president.
Sundra the URL you posted says it all. Old school devisive politics. We're done with you and your kind. Enjoy the beating you'll take in November.

Obama is winning and should keep focused on the issues rather than getting pulled into last minute desperation tactics by the Clintons!
All of the latest hoopla by Geraldine Farraro was designed to take attention from Obamas wins in Wyoming and Mississippi, two different diverse states. Any way the MEDIA spins it, Obama will still win the Nomination.
The best thing for the Obama camp to do is to address the situation and move on to winning the upcoming primaries.
2008 is a "new beginning" and Obama is on the new wave of uniting our beloved America and improving our image in the world.
YES WE CAN YES WE WILL YES YOU CAN YES I WILL!

Why do people hold Barack voting to fund the occupation of Iraq against him?
It would have been folly to withdraw from Iraq so soon after invasion, leaving the country in anarchy. The global backlash would have been horrendous. After toppling the original Iraqi regime, it was internationally responsible to stay to ensure government was founded, Al Qaeda did not just come in and take over (they have infiltrated, but just imagine how much worse it would have been than it is now) and aid was given safely.
Obama was against the war from the start and listed detailed reasons why he opposed it, what problems would occur. All of them came true and are currently dogging the Iraqi and American government. After America invaded Iraq, there were only bad options and worse options left.

"Second, you talk about the expenditures of the war, yet you voted for funding the war, time after time."
Funding the war after the war started is completely defferent from advocating going to war.
As an American we would support our troops no matter what. Had Senator Obama voted against funding for the war after our troops were already in Iraq, you would be criticzing him for not supporting the troop.
HELLARY also voted for funding the war, but she also voted for starting the war. She had the chance to dissent before we got involved in the war, but like Senator Obama stated Hellary made the WRONG choice.

Wait a second.... What's the voting demographic for HRC vs. BHO? Isn't it the 'under-educated' blue-collar Americans more for HRC whereas college educated, white collar Americans more for BHO?
Do you really have the opinion that the educated voters for BHO lack critical thinking skills and become mesmerized by his Siren song? Come on?
I'm an HRC supporter, but her supporting base, advisors, and her campaign are really beginning to embarass me. I may be an HRC supporter, but come the General Election, I hope to be a BHO voter.

I may not agree with her campaign tactics and question her motives, character, sincerity and ethics but, I will not disrespect myself or her to express my discontent with her or anyone else. I only wish Senator Clinton had been more honorable in this race for what should be the most honorable position in the land.
No matter how offensive, questionable and low her tactics seem...I will never compromise my integrity or neglect my self respect by trading cheap shots. We can all adopt and practice this same discipline...YES WE CAN!

Hillary and group are certainly playing the race card. Their goal is to make Obama a marginal black candidate, even though he has stayed above race fray. In fact, except for his appearance he is not black. By gene pool he is 50% black and 50% white. But, he was brought up by white mother and grand mother. He is more white than black. He is the ideal candidate for our times. The Clinton’s racist stirring, both subtle and overt ones are aimed at undecided white voters in current and upcoming primaries. For example keeping this race issue in news in Mississippi, they are creating doubts in Pennsylvania. Clintons has become masters at spin and they certainly do it better than Bush and Co. It is constantly Washington style spin, spin and more spin. I will give her the SPIN award. As per them, the Obama wins don’t count, where as even if she looses (lost delegate race in Texas), it is a great win for her. She is trying to steal the election from under Obama. It is up to us all to stop it. Florida and Michigan should follow the original rules and based on that their delegates cannot count. No redo. If required divide the delegates equally so that it is wash. Remember the Republicans also punished Florida voters.

Obama's opposition to the Iraq war was well-publicized and well reported on in 2002, when he gave his most famous speech on the topic. See the link below

It bothers me to hear that Democrats have turned this primary season into a personality contest rather than listening to the issues. The woman (Power) who was suspended by the Obama camp for calling Mrs. Clinton a "monster" was just a reflection of the low minded attitudes toward Hillary as are those supporters in the Hillary camp who call Barack a "hack".
I have been listening to the debates and trying to be open-minded to both candidates. While Barack did have the favorable advantage of going second in the debates because it allowed him to synthesize Hillary's comments and add on his own, Hillary on the other hand was more issue-oriented and showed a great deal of knowledge and innovative thought which Barack continually used to hype his few added suggestions.
The critics of the Clintons need to separate Bill Clinton's womanizing persona from his politics. Keep in mind when GWB's father left office, this country had a deficit as the result of the first Persian Gulf War, and it was Bill Clinton who cleaned up the economy even amidst a Republican Congress. When Bill Clinton left office, we had a 230 billion dollar surplus. Those people with short memories have forgotten programs like Welfare to Work, and the Children's Health Insurance Program (1997). Also, "By the end of the Clinton presidency, the numbers were uniformly impressive. Besides the record-high surpluses and the record-low poverty rates, the economy could boast the longest economic expansion in history; the lowest unemployment since the early 1970s; and the lowest poverty rates for single mothers, black Americans, and the aged."*

Of course, Hillary is not Bill and neither is Barack, but which of the two had first hand knowledge of the most prosperous presidency in U.S. history. That person is the one who can take what she witnessed and follow through with restoring our country to its former prominence.

Obama is half-black- half Muslim- Half Christian. He is an ambigous character in his upbringing as well questionable character in his dealing and association with Rezko and his "pastor" Farrakhan who called white people "skunks and blue eyed devils" and Jews "bloodsuckers" and just the same has participated in namecalling of gay people. Why doesn't the media expose this association with Obama? Hillary has NEVER been part of such groups. Obama has... Why? To foster a better political career? Why? Tell me who you walk with, and I will tell you who you are. Tell me who is the presidential candidate who will do anything to further his career. Hands down: The reason why he is where he is: He is black. Eye openner: He is the one who will do anything to advance his career. Sometimes you have to be politically correct but other times you just need to say the truth---which no one wants to hear-- and Ferraro is correct and the media should scrutinize these deadly and hatefully dangerous associations.

DON'T BE DUPED!!!
Large numbers of Republicans have been voting for Barack Obama in the DEMOCRATIC primaries, and caucuses. Because they feel he would be a weaker opponent against John McCain. And because they feel that a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket would be unbeatable. And also because with a Clinton and Obama ticket you are almost 100% certain to get quality, affordable universal health care very soon.
But first, all of you have to make certain that Hillary Clinton takes the democratic nomination and then the Whitehouse. NOW! is the time. THIS! is the moment you have all been working, and waiting for. You can do this America. “Carpe diem” (harvest the day).
I think Hillary Clinton see’s a beautiful world of plenty, and comfort for all. She is a woman, and a mother. And it’s time America. Do this for your-self, and your children’s future. You will have to work together on this and be aggressive, relentless, and creative. Americans face an even worse catastrophe ahead than the one you are living through now.
You see, the medical and insurance industry mostly support the republicans with the money they ripped off from you. And they don’t want you to have quality, affordable universal health care. They want to be able to continue to rip you off, and kill you and your children by continuing to deny you life saving medical care that you have already paid for. So they can continue to make more immoral profits for them-self.
Hillary Clinton has actually won by much larger margins than the vote totals showed. And lost by much smaller vote margins than the vote totals showed. Her delegate count is actually much higher than it shows. And higher than Obama’s. HILLARY CLINTON IS ALREADY THE TRUE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE!
As much as 30% of Obama's primary, and caucus votes are Republicans trying to choose the weakest democratic candidate for McCain to run against. These Republicans have been gaming the caucuses where it is easier to vote cheat. This is why Obama has not been able to win the BIG! states primaries. Even with Republican vote cheating help.
Hillary Clinton has been out manned, out gunned, and out spent 2 and 3 to 1. Yet Obama has only been able to manage a very tenuous, and questionable tie with Hillary Clinton.
If Obama is the democratic nominee for the national election in November he will be slaughtered. Because the Republican vote cheating help will suddenly evaporate. All of this vote fraud and republican manipulation has made Obama falsely look like a much stronger candidate than he really is. YOUNG PEOPLE. DON’T BE DUPED! Think about it. You have the most to lose.
The democratic party needs to fix this outrage. I suggest a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama ticket now! Everyone needs to throw all your support to Hillary Clinton NOW! So you can end this outrage against YOU the voter, and against democracy.
I think Barack Obama has a once in a life time chance to make the ultimate historic gesture for unity, and change in America by accepting Hillary Clinton’s offer as running mate. Such an act now would for ever seal Barack Obama’s place at the top of the list of Americas all time great leaders, and unifiers for all of history. But the time to act is soon.
The democratic party, and the super-delegates have a decision to make. Are the democrats, and the democratic party going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee to fight for the American people. Or are the republicans going to choose the DEMOCRATIC party nominee through vote fraud, and gaming the DEMOCRATIC party primaries, and caucuses.
Fortunately the Clinton’s have been able to hold on against this fraudulent outrage with those repeated dramatic comebacks of Hillary Clinton’s. Only the Clinton’s are that resourceful, and strong. Hillary Clinton is your NOMINEE. They are the best I have ever seen.
“This is not a game” (Hillary Clinton)
Sincerely
jacksmith...

If you're going to make a judgement about the outcome prior to letting all the evidence be heard I suggest you head over to Salem and conduct a few witch trials.
That being said do I suspect he's probaly guilty of some wrongdoing, of course I do. As I said I lived in Chicago all my life and I know how things work around here. There's a reason they say Chicago is "The city that works".

I am not a great FAN of OBAMA but in europe and around the world we really think that American people are the dumbest people ever on this earth, this is a view accross europe, africa and asia. It seems that American people have a great nation but fell into proud to think they will be in this position forever... Right now I think this Obama guy is the best thing ever happen to America History and politic... to me the CLinton and The bush are not different, the politic of the connected people who control the world starve millions and generate WAR for business reasons and smart enough to make the dumbest population on earth think it is for their sake ....
at least Obama is not part of that ... Also maybe you American don't care but do you know how much damage you create everyday in the continents I know at least ten countries were 15 years ago American were seen as good people and now people hate you as if you were of the devil... a friend of mine who is African from the congo always curse the American (specially) Bill Clinton who declare WAR against a dctator named Mobutu but the only problem is that Mobutu was ovethrown by a so called rebellion in 1997 from that time until today the congolese people have been 20 millions to die from butchery, rape, mass murder and even the president of congo is not from congo thank you AMerica that is what you call democracy and fight evil thank you for this legacy I can give example over and over but the fact are that you don't know what your governement are really doing to this world hope you all learn what is rendition (implemented under clinton) and now even christian nations hate America why ask yourself why.....
