The Swamp

Obama's "3 a.m. call'' ad, aired in response to Clinton's, below:

by Mark Silva

With one of the quickest retorts in modern paid-media memory, Sen. Barack Obama has turned Sen. Hillary Clinton's "3 a.m. call'' ad back on her with a "3 a.m. call'' ad of his own.

The irony of this, perhaps, is that Clinton has criticized Obama for borrowing the words of his campaign ally, Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, on the stump. Obama has not only borrowed, but also taken possession of the attack-ad that Clinton launched at him today.

The ad opens with the same words and images that the Clinton ad used in asking voters to think about a 3 a.m. crisis call at the White House and asking who they'd want to answer that call -- the answer, in Clinton's ad, someone "tested'' like Clinton. Obama has another answer:

" It’s 3 am and your children are safe and asleep,'' the narrator of Obama's ad states, with a commercial picturing the White House at night. "But there’s a phone ringing in the White house. Something’s happening in the world.

"When that call gets answered, shouldn’t the president be the one, the only one, who had judgment and courage to oppose the Iraq war from the start, who understood the real threat to America was al qQaeda in Afghanistan, not Iraq...who led the effort to secure loose nuclear weapons around the globe.

"In a dangerous world, it’s judgment that matters,'' says the narrator, closing a black-and-white ad that pictures Obama at, where else, the White House.

Clinton's initial "3 a.m. call'' ad started the ad-war:

In political circles, it's known as the tit for tat technique. If done right, no defense.

Look out Republic smear machine; 'Bama has it figured out, unlike 'OldCreaky' Kerry.

Ah for the old days, when the victim took 8 weeks to respond, hey?

$50m obviously affords you to get the best.

Look out McCain! Backdoor swiftboat tactics? Bring it on! There's panic in the sputtering conservative movement.
Go ahead & listen to Rush & never give-up. Stay out on the field after dark. The game is won & the winners have gone home.

I want to know who hired Obama and Clinton to promote Mac's 3A.M.call? I have had this onthe bottom of my McCain blogsite for at least a month. Someone just stole it and rearranged it. Check it out: http://colecurtis-colecurtis.blogspot.com

Obama has the good judgment and intelligence to surround himself with top key advisors. Hillary will surround herself with campaign pay-off appointees. At 3:00 in the morning, I want brains, not debts.

AHHHHHHAHHH HAHAH HAH

What is wrong with this guy. Can't he come up with his own ads? Copying is the greatest form of flattery. You should thank Hillary. I'm getting the impression that the Obama "camp" must be the most petty campaign in modern history. It is so nice to see him stoop so low pretending to be above it all. He has a perfect opportunity to make an ad, any ad, and he decides to used it by parroting the ad of someone else knowing it will look like he's partaking in a tit-for-tat?

Ofcousre it's okay when Obama does it. Does Obama feel written and unwritten laws apply only to others and not to himself? So others should pay parking tickets, but he can't with the size of his house and the cars he drove. So others shouldn't copy the works and words of others, but he can becuse it'll help him get elected? Others should obey campaign finance rules but he should use loop holes?

Good grief! Obama has turned into such a bratty younger brother!

Doesn't he have anything better to do with the $50M he just stole from his disciples?

This precious election is turning our country into mush.

I thought they were plugging Excedrin PM commercial first time I saw it. Reminded me of the Bud Ice penguin ad, too: "Those calls are coming from inside the house!"
Doo bee doo bee doooooo...

Outstanding response Senator Obama!

Obama is going to spin crazy old man John McCain/Bush's head around like a top when the debates start and he gets the old man to admit that he knows nothing about the economy and his only solution is to spend another 100 years in Iraq!

John McCentury in Iraq gets the much feared economics question from Ron Paul in the MSNBC debate on Jan 24, 2008.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu-tg1kQ8dk

Obama, you're such a sad, naive and desparate man.

Yep can't wait for those spins on those McCain ads. I'm hopin a lot of them will be about his veteran status, that way it will make a lot of sense for Obama to doubt them....

I'd like to retract my original answer to fire or backfire. I will go with back fire. I think McCain should do a spin off of this video. Children sleeping while al-Qaeda has just attacked. Who would you like answering the call ? The military veteran who was behind the most successful idea after several years of stay the course...the surge when everyone doubted or the guy who wanted to cut and run.

This will is and will continue to be on looooonnng election process.

I thought it was funny that Tucker Carlson said after he watch the 3:00am campaign add, he was suddenly convinced (right then & there) that Barack Obama would win the democratic nomination.

Now that's an effective campaign advertisement!!!

Obama 2008

I have a wish about bow tie boy Tucker.
And that is; if the draft is reinstated he receives a notice, and the look on his face is on camera.

The voice on the end "Hi, this is Larry"

Obama is brilliant! Atleast he has GOT the money (unlike Hillary) to get this "back atcha" ad back out in the same day lmao! Poor (LITERALLY) POOR Hillary lmao!

wow, hillary has lost it. thye just had her on the news mumbling about who would need to consult legions of advisors and consultants at 3am...hello hillary, isn't that you??? When have you ever made a decision without your legions of high-paid consultants??? Isn't there a saying about living in glass houses? It's really pathetic when you project your persona onto others.

Anyway, I'll take sound judgement over a poll-hopping, flip-flopping baby boomer like you or your beatnick buddy McCain.

The voice on the other end...

It's Bill, Bernadine just scored a lid of Hawaiian.

This is GREAT! It really knocks Hillary's empty "tested, experienced, ready" blather for what it is: empty.

Man, I would not want to be the one to wake Hillary at 3 AM; they would be reassigned in Antarctica the way her failed campaign teams keep ending up.

Hopefully, the Bush-Clinton empire will end for good this Tuesday.

Rush, all you security moms, rush to the polls and vote for Hillary! She will wake up at 3am careful not to wake the still sumbering Bill, hear the soft female voice ask "may I speak to Billy?" To which Hillary will reply "b----ch, I have told you not to call him on this line this time of the morning."

I thought it was funny that Tucker Carlson said after he watch the 3:00am campaign add, he was suddenly convinced (right then & there) that Barack Obama would win the democratic nomination.

Now that would be classic television!!!

Who do I want answering the White House phone at 3 a.m.?

Easy answer. John McCain. Not Clinton I, Clinton II or the New Messiah.

Barack Rezko Obama plagiarizes commercials as well as speeches!

Maybe he is a student of history and soo he will have lot's of time to study what went wrong with his campaign.

Maybe he can help his wife Michelle write a book about how the "racists" didn't elect her husband and Oprah can help her sell it.

Right on Obama. Good-Grief, doesnt Hillary have any morals! Shes such a crook. God help us if she were to win the nomination. She's like the wind, one day it blows this way, the next day the other way. One day shes for something, the next day against it. Give me a break!

God this guy is smug. Part of the reason that I supported Hillary in the first place was because I COULD NOT BELIEVE he and the media were equating an anti-war speech at an ANTI-WAR rally with having to vote on the U.S. Senate floor and all that entails. He is telling us it's the central component of his foriegn policy experience. He probably didn't even remember he gave that speech until he decided to run for president. Most of America would have voted the same way Hillary did at that time. Anyway, I realize it's time for the party to come together. But just when I come to accept that's over for Hillary and get behind this guy, he irritates me, and I want to see him lose on Tuesday. If only for spite.

I'm for Obama all the way, but both these ads are puzzling. What I want to know, in either case, is why the phone keeps ringing and ringing. It makes it sound as if there's no one there at all.

Don't they have switchboard operators at the White House? I hope the President doesn't need to answer the phone every time it rings.

Bravo Obama.

The lesson that Kerry never learned from the swift boaters and the talk show cowards that tell lies is to get back in their face. Although a lie never dies, if it is not attacked and challenged it will get some mileage.

I love the remark below about 100 more years in Iraq! I love it when people ignore history! We've been in Kosovo for 10 years. We stayed in Europe for 40 years. We've been in Korea for 55 years. Yet after a few in Iraq, let's pull the plug and all come home to watch MTV and American Idol. Folks in that region aren't worth our time.

Look out Republic smear machine; 'Bama has it figured out, unlike 'OldCreaky' Kerry.

Ah for the old days, when the victim took 8 weeks to respond, hey?

Right on the mark. That's why Obama is debating whether to stick to his pledge to only accept Fed funds during the general election.

He has to have the funding to be able to strike back and strike back quickly.

Kerry mismanaged his own funding - leaving 10 million on the table at the end.

Barack never should have agreed to accept Fed funds - knowing that if he had the party's nomination the funds would have been flowing like oil.

By the way, anyone who tries to complain about Barack's lack of cred on the issue need only look at McCain, who first asked for Fed money for the primaries but now wants out so that he can raise more money.

Bottom line: you can take others for fools but don't try to pull that kind of argument on the SWAMP.

"What I want to know, in either case, is why the phone keeps ringing and ringing. It makes it sound as if there's no one there at all."

Ii keeps ringing because Hillary is exhausted from her endless teas, and bill is in the back of the Oval Office with his pants down.

I am still curious about why Hillary can talk about ethics. Who was it that was responsible for White Water? I have to agree that it is time for a different family in the White House. Enough with the Bush and Clinton clans.

Don't they have switchboard operators at the White House? I hope the President doesn't need to answer the phone every time it rings.

Now that is FUNNY!!!

Sorry Obama haters, but that Hillary campaign add is WEAK with a capitol W. Look I personally have always liked Senetor Clinton, but she is running one of the worst campaigns ever. Never did I think someone as bright as her would let things get so out of control that it would come to this. One of the lamest ads ever!!! I mean that 3:00am sh%t is pathetic, and once again calls into play her ability to lead. I mean if you can't run an effective campaign then how are voters going to trust you to lead the free world.

Look Obama haters, don't hate the player, HATE THE GAME. This ain't softball.

Obama 2008

Finally!! A Dem who not only throws a counter-punch, but delivers an uppercut as well. It's good to know the GOP's fear and smear tactics will get shoved back in their face this time. Get in the ring. Obama in a landslide!!

Yes, Obama sure has been the voice against the war! Lets take alook at his U.S. Senate voting record shall we...

1.Voted to confirm Condoleezza Rice as secretary of state
2.Obama was part of a unanimous consent agreement not to filibuster the nomination of Alberto Gonzales as U.S. Attorney General.
3.Voted to confirm Michael Chertoff, a proponent of water-board torture and a man behind the round-up of thousands of people of Middle-Eastern descent following 9/11.
4.Voted to make John Negroponte the National Intelligence Director. In Central America, John Negroponte was connected to death squads that murdered nuns and children in sizable quantities. He is suspected of instigating death squads while in Iraq, resulting in the current insurgency.
5.Voted for HR 1268,war appropriations in the amount of approximately $81 billion.
6.Voted for H.R. 2419, termed ‘The Nuclear Bill’ by environmental and peace groups. It provided billions for nuclear weapons activities, including nuclear bunker buster bombs. It contains full funding for Yucca Mountain, a threat to food and water in California, Nevada, Arizona and states across America.
7.Failed and refused to place a hold on the nomination of John Roberts, a supporter of permanent detention of Americans without trial, and of torture and military tribunals for Guantanamo detainees.
8.Voted for HR2863, which appropriated $50 billion in new money for war.
9.Voted for continued war, again. Roll call 326 was the vote on the Defense Authorization Act (S1042).
10.Confirmed his support for war by voting for the Conference Report on the Defense Appropriations Act (HR 2863).
11.Voted for money for more war by voting for cloture on HR 4939, the emergency funding to Halliburton, Blackwater and other war profiteers.
12.Voted to adopt HR4939: emergency funding to war profiteers.
13.Voted for the conference report on HR4939, a bill that gave warmongers more money to continue the killing and massacre of innocent people in Iraq and allows profiteers to collect more money for scamming the people of New Orleans.
14.Opposed withdrawal of the troops, by voting to table a motion to table a proposed amendment would have required the withdrawal of US. Armed Forces from Iraq and would have urged the convening of an Iraq summit (S Amdt 4269 to S. Amdt 4265 to S2766)
15.Voted against withdrawing the troops by opposing the Kerry Amendment (S. Amdt 4442 to S 2766) to the National Defense Authorization Act. The amendment, which was rejected, would have brought our troops home.
16.Voted for cloture (the last effective chance to stop) on the National Defense Authorization Act (S 2766), which provided massive amounts of funding to defense contractors in Iraq.
17.Again voted for continued war by voting to pass the National Defense Authorization Act (S 2766) for continued war funding.
18.Voted to give more money to profiteers for more war (H..R. 5631).
19.Voted for the conference report on more funding for war, HR 5631.
20.Voted for nuclear proliferation in voting to pass HR 5682, a bill to exempt the United States-India Nuclear Proliferation Act from requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954.
21.Voted to confirm pro-war Robert M. Gates to be Secretary of Defense.

It's a good thing Obama had a pattern to go by . He would not of thought of that on his own. That's why it's good he goes second in the debates so he would have something intelligent to say.go Hillary

Sen. Obama brings forth a unique opportunity for healing and change in the world today.

His candidacy is a living testament to the American spirit and potential for greatness.

I believe that we are all witnessing the next step in the political development of America.

The world is watching and I have all confidence that President Obama and Vice President Clinton.

Will “Together” make the world a safer place; not just for America but for all mankind.

In God We Trust.

Hillary answers the phone, Listens, then says, let me get back to you with a decision after I find out what George W. Bush wants me to do. It worked for me with the Iraq War, so I am sticking with that approach.

As I've said before, Obama will get a lot of this mud slinging the rest of the year but will emerge victorious. He will be our new leader and president of our country. the guy has it! Talk, sure, but you can bet the farm that action will be swift and positive, Obama is no fool or patsy, he knows what he wants and where he's going and he wants to take america with him. And I'm with him all the way.
OBAMA 2008

MEN can't think at 3 a.m. in the morning....Women can.
Women can multitask, obviously Obama can only copycat.
Women get out there and show support for the only Woman capable at this time to multitask and lead our country.
The bottom line for change in the White House is to vote for Hillary.
We've already had enough men messing up our life in the USA...time for a woman to clean up after them all!

Hillary's ad should have gone just a little further and let us hear the voice of the caller. It was probably the secret service calling to say they can't control Bill and he's off with some bimbo.

Wearing pearls at 3am is a nice touch too.

Ok, let's be realistic. The Economy is horrible, health insurance is a joke, our education system is a mess, yet we've spent billions and billions to fight a war that has been proven to be unnecessary and has killed so many men and women. My heart goes out to the families of these innocent victims. I do not want someone in charge of running this country that helped put us in the situation we're in by voting to go into Iraq in the first place.

Obama has my vote

Its all part of the game,the bottom line is clinton & obama is going to do.like any back running.Try to won,but God has already won. So unless God is in your heart,you have already lost.

If the republicans had responded to Hilary's 3:00 am ad, they would have shown a Chelsea lookalike getting picked up for a DUI.

After reading some of the comments . I believe there very few Cristians commenting . There is only one God and Obama is far from it. Another suggesting Bill is off with someone else. People get your heads on straight ,this election is not for Bill Clinton or how all media has put Obama on a pedistal . It's about facts Obama will fail badly on his promises. Hillary would deliver and no matter if you are black or white, no one has the right to tell you which way your vote goes.Wake up before it is to late . Don't vote Obama because he is black . vote for experience vote Hillary

riiiiiinnnnnnggg!!!!!!!!

"Hello?"

"Hello Madam President. I am so sorry to be waking you at this hour, but we have a serious siutuation involving.....your Husband--"

"Tell Bill I said to leave that woman alone and bring his a** back to bed!!"

Dear Senator Clinton;
This campaign is NOT about experience it's about change. You do not represent change in the way that Senator Obama does. This is some free advice which is better than the advice for which you have been paying. You are a brillant person and a effective Senator but you are too devicesive. You have too many enemies inside the beltway to reach across the aisle effectively. That said if Senator Obama wasn't your opponent, you would have my vote. A President needs to inspire people. The way Reagen inspired the right. Sorry, Madame Senator but there is no contest in the inspiration department. The junior Senator from Illinois wins hands down.

Ouch. That's funny. Senator Clinton's ad obviously touched a raw nerve in the Obama camp. Why else would they respond in such a childish way. What's next, "I know you are but what I am"? Senator Obama's claim about being so anti-war is starting to look a little thread worn. Yes, the majority of Americans would not have voted for the Iraq war based on what we know now. You were not a Senator at the time the vote was taken. Therefore you're woulda, coulda, shoulda response is irrelevant. Furthermore, your subsequent war funding votes since becoming Senator seem more than a little contradictory.

McCain would answer a shoe instead of the phone. Then he would turn to the 1000 lobbyists sitting at the foot of his bed and ask them what to do. After some inneffectual mumbling, the lobbyists would just say, ask China, they own the US anyway. McCain would of course agree and then do nothing. Or better yet, he would invade Cuba. "But Cuba wasn't a threat, sir". "Neither was Iraq, but that didn't stop us," McCain would slur. "I've always been jealous how Castro makes those people listen to him, anyways." "But sir, Castro has stepped down sir." "Then just kill everyone who isn't white, it's what Fox news would want."
"Will do sir."
"Now, where is there another lobbyist to cuddle up with?"

Oh, I just love a person with an open mind, who does not generalize and accepts people for who they are instead of a label. Now, I will generalize: typical brainwashed Hillary voter who is angry with their personal life so they lash out at others, as she does. Divide and conquer is over, Queen Hillary. America is moving forward from the aristocracy of Bush-Clinton. There ARE better leaders available, and one is finally emerging from humble roots.

So he's going to answer the phone and tell whoever is on the other end that he voted against the Iraq war (even though he was NOT even a member of congress at the time)? A lame and already tiresome response. For someone stuck on the future he sure references that 2002 "I'm not even there" vote a lot.

Guess what? I voted for the war. Our votes counted the same as I wasn't a U.S. Senator then either!!!

Get ready for Jimmy Carter part two everyone.

In the 3 am video, I couldn't help but notice that Hillary is fully and stylishly dressed. She was obviously ready for the call!

Does she: (a) work all night long; (b) stay up late or get up early; or (c) sleep in her clothes, so she is ready for action at any time?

It's 3 a.m., and the phone rings in the White House. Tony Rezko (post pardon) picks up the phone. "It's a national emergency. Rod and Patti both need a pardon as wel1" Whom would you trust? "I'm Barack Obama, and as soon as I can figure out whether Al Qaeda is Iraq or not, I will approve this message."

Obviously here ad was good and Obama copy catted her trying to make himself look good. Alas, in my eyes, it made him look like someone who says "that is a good idea" make it mine. That is not a bad idea, but from a man who hasn't had an original thought he is proving he is a man without an original thought.

Obama is getting killed with Fox News, CNN against him and clearly giving Hillary and advantage. MSNBC is mixed with Russert, Brian Williams, Chris Matthews and Oberland still being professional objective journalist. Abrams of MSNBC is pro-Hillary. This is shameful the way, our leading Cable Networks are engendering Fear for Obama. This surely will take this nation back to the 60's again.

To Liam's post,

Senator Clinton has a much fuller CV than you are acknowledging in your post.

It seems you are ignoring the truth and the facts, which is par for the course for Obama-mania types such as you.

"This campaign is not about experience it is about change." That explains everything. Obama did that speech not because he had better judgment, but because it would be a change from the norm. I'm guessing when the phone rings he won't pick it up because it would a change from the norm.

Get ready for Jimmy Carter part two everyone.

HIllary!!!

Yawn...is that the best you've got Tom?

You're right, that was unfair...Obama might end up being worse.

Obama's dogged oversimplification of global complexities that stems from arrogance and ignorance are all the common ingredients for another world war. His single-mindedness to the point of wreckleness is anything but admirable.

It's interesting to see here that nobody has commented with an original opinion. Everything written in this thread is straight from tv and radio.

Preview this new ad brought to you by ML and BC Productions:

It`s 3:00 am, and children are sleeping peacefully, and the phone rings. Hilary answers it with her normal smug look. She says "Hello". There is silence. Hilary looks confused, then repeats once more "Hello, who's there?" Softly, a voice says "It's me". Hilary then asks "Who is me?". The soft voice says "It's me, Monica". Then all hell breaks looose in America!

Fadeout: Hello, I am Monica Lewinsky and I approve this message on behalf of Bill Clinton, heh,heh,heh.....

I expect a Senator like Clinton to have read the National Intelligence Estimate before she would authorize a President to go to war in which young Americans would kill and be killed. SHE DID NOT! She authorized a decision to go to war without reading critical documents associated with such a major decision. Such an action is not leadership but incompetence similar to the manner she managed her campaign to date!!! It`s time for Clinton to show her tax returns - `nuff said. A politician that doesn`t release her tax returns is one that cannot be trusted. Obama has released his but Clinton has not released hers! Clinton must also answer why she was so quick to authorize Bush`s war in Iraq where thousands of Americans died and tens of thousands were grieviously wounded while Clinton`s own daughter, Chelsea sits looking pretty on the campaign trail without doing an iota of military service just like Bush`s daughters, Barbara and Jenna. Afro-American, Hispanics and American families of lower incomes demand an answer from Clinton as to why their kids are serving and dying in Iraq in disproportionate numbers while Chelsea Clinton mints money hand over fist as an investor ($200,000 dollars plus this year alone), and then has the luxury to stump for mama san on the campaign trail.
Speaking of that 3:00 am telephone call, Hilary was answering the phone late at night to tell Chelsea to not stay out so late partying, heh,heh,heh...

It sure is nice to see two democrats who know how to fight for a win. --Hillary is being one-upped here, but it's nice to see Obama has the smarts to answer an attack loudly and effectively. Turning her attack ad back on her is very clever.

Obama's campaign is so much stronger right now. No matter what Hillary does, Obama can hit her back and make it stick. She's desperate, so she's attacking him. It makes her look bad.

The Obama Camp's 3:00 AM ad is a brilliant retort to HRC's political attack ad. My gut feel is that with a President Obama in the White House, so much will be done to repair American Foreign Relations and Policy around the world that the chances of such 3:00 AM emergency phone calls will be much less. Being the U.S. President is a tough job, but I trust Barack Obama's judgement and capability MUCH more than any other person who is seeking the job. And people will soon find that we are blessed that he was willing to run, because it is a formidable job with huge responsibilities. On another note, I hope Barack Obama does a clean sweep of the March 4, 2008 primaries. May God bless Barack Obama, his Family and his Team! Regards, William Favre Slater, III http://billslater.com/who_is_barack_obama.htm

Change?

Back in the nineties it was OK for the democrats to use G. Bush senior's full name: George Herbert Walker Bush. Well it is OK to use the name Barak Hussein Obama.

Obama obviously has some amazing people working for him and he has chosen excellent advisors. Let's face it, it is not the President who does all the work. It is the people he chooses to surround himself with and to provide him or her with advice.
So far Obama decisions in this regard make him look far more presidential than anyone else out there.

It's simple! you should want a president that will make the right decision for the country which is not a misguided war! Everyone seems to forget the lives lost and money down the drain that this war is costing! Everyone has forgotten that billions of dollars have mysteriously disappeared during this war and no one is calling the president or his party to task over it! The facts are apparent.My decision is clear .I will not vote Mccain because I have a brain!

Since Hillary is touting her White House experience; then this is relevant to her claims.

The Twin Towers were attacked in 1993, and following that a number of US embassies, and the US Cole. All were attacked while she was gaining all that White House experience. She and Bill left Office seven years after the Twin Towers was attacked, and they had failed to take sufficient action to eliminate the threat that turned into 9/11.

The Red Phone rang in 1993, and for the following seven years, Hillary and Bill left the Sleeping Children of America without strong protection.

Hillary, you should start positioning yourself to transition back to the senate while its not too late. Your husband all but ruined his legacy his last hours in office - dont ruin yours the last hours of your campaign. The public will not forget these tactics, and god forbid u push for florida/michigan. Play fair win or loose and make the best of the outcome.

Opportunities abound around the world for personal face to face contacts which could garner respect and return credibility to our nation. The refusal to sit down with others unless they agree in advance to your terms or conditions epitomizes an out of control arrogance which is not befitting a superpower. A superpower projects its values in many ways but certainly not through military force. Good fiscal policy, free/fair trade, education and health care for our citizens and interpersonal relationships via our great universities (the envy of the world) come to mind BUT a superpower, first and foremost, "keeps its power dry". Flexing your muscles on the playground will not make you a BMOC in the long run.

Great job Obama! Its not about being petty or lowering himself. He is just plain smarter than Clinton! No matter what she does he has a response. He is going to run circles around old man river! I don't care if he is a veteran. He knows nothing about the economy or healthcare here at home. When Obama is in office we won't get that call because he is smart enough to choose his battles not just run out and fight everywhere. Hilary will ask her advisors what should I do? Mccain will say hell ya lets fight and Obama will say "lets think about the ramifications of all this!"

Hillary is an interesting individual, promoting the Clinton White House years like she was running the county WITH Bill. So was really President back then, Hillary or Bill? Furthermore, Hillary was born in Park Ridge, IL, back in the day when it was about as white bread as you could get. And she was such an admirer of MLK, or so she says. She would have been run out of town back in the 60s for being a supporter of MLK. It's high time Hillary starts owning up to the truth.

The Clintonites are getting nervous...and rightly so.

What a tactic by Hillary she thinks that by doing all this negative add will make her win the nomination. Her campaign is looking ahead. Such an ad like this will play right in the republican hand. They will play these two video and over again in the general election. Thanks to Hillary. She said she is a democrat. And she is playing to win at all cost even if it means destroying the democrat part. I hope she and campaign staff think twice before sending out and an ad.

Do not forget folks: The Clinton Camp claimed, after Senator Obama's string of victories, that Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania were all upcoming big States contests where Hillary had a big advantage. They told us that those States were set up for Hillary to win big in all of them.

Hold them to their words. Hillary must win big in each of those Three "Favorable to Hillary" Big States, in order to prove that she is a viable contender.

Up until now, Senator Obama has proven himself to be a reliable closer, and Hillary has proven herself to be a consistent folder. Which one would you want to have coming down the stretch against McCain at the beginning of November; A proven closer, or a proven folder!

Hillary must carry Ohio and Texas on Tuesday by large margins or she will have proved once again that she is just a sprinting front runner who always fades in the stretch. Winning by a nose in States where they have been ahead by twenty lengths will not be good enough for Hillery to shed her down the stretch folder record.

Time for the Clinton camp to put up or shut up. They are the ones that told us that Ohio and Texas were big time Hillery states. That means that on Tuesday Hillery better win by huge margins in both Hillary friendly States, or she should be put out to pasture.

I would not want a 61 year old woman to answer the phone and i am a 64 year old woman and i know why. I want a young man to answer. he actually has something to look out for and is alert.

Wow! again Wow!

Obama already had my vote...but if this isn't a display of efficiency and an indicator of what kind of action to expect once he gets to the White House, I'd be very surprised.

This man has an organization!!

They rock!

Personally, I thought Obama's ad was right on. He defended himself. What's wrong with that???

"MEN can't think at 3 a.m. in the morning....Women can.
Women can multitask, obviously Obama can only copycat.
Women get out there and show support for the only Woman capable at this time to multitask and lead our country.
The bottom line for change in the White House is to vote for Hillary.
We've already had enough men messing up our life in the USA...time for a woman to clean up after them all!"

Are you really feminist that thinks that women should "clean up after" men?

I really like the "men are like this... and women are like this..." political argument, you should be a comedian because that is the only place where comments like that are acceptable.

The President actually answers the phone at 3 AM? You'd think they'd have a receptionist or something.

He wasn't even in the senate when the vote took place. He was not privy to the information that Clinton was privy. Barack can not say how he would have voted given the information. After the senate found out he information they based their decision on was false, she said that she would have made a different decision. Barack should be embarrassed that he keeps taking credit for something he didn't do. He can't prove what his vote would have been. He has no experience. There is no track record to analyze. The fact that of everything Clinton has accomplished in life, he is going to use that as a major strike against her is embarrassing to anyone who has intelligence. When comparing Clinton to Obama, Clinton is by far the most qualified and hard working. Please just research the candidates. Don't take anyone's word on it. Research it yourself. If you do, the most qualified for the job will be voted in as president. People didn't do it with Bush and look what happened! If in these next 8 years, Barack can accomplish what Hillary has accomplished than I would vote for him. I am intelligent and care about people as it appears Barack does. But I lack the experience as Barack does as well. Therefore I would rather have Hillary be president than me or Barack. Hillary has it all; intelligence, experience, and caring!

Doesn't Obama have any self respect or originality? He copied Hillary Clinton's latest ad. She answers most of the questions in debates by going first, and he says, "Yes, that's a good answer." "I agree with what Hillary said." It's clear Clinton is the best choice for President. She is leading Yes man Obama around. He watches her and copies her ads. He copies her answers. He copies whole pages of other people's speeches and their ideas. Obama is a sham selling the latest elixir of his dream machine. The thought of him manning the White House phone is scary. His dream is to bomb Pakistan. That would really improve things in the Middle East, wouldn't it. As for invading a country like Iraq, that calls for the full approval of Congress. It's not a 3 a.m. split decision, so that is not a valid argument on his part. Finally, who do you think the generals of the United States want to answer the phone in the White House? Who do they respect and trust to be Commander-in-Chief? They have endorsed Hillary R. Clinton. I trust their judgement. Shouldn't you? Here is the latest endorsement:

"One of our nation’s top military figures, General Shelton served two terms as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush.

In announcing his endorsement, General Shelton said, “I’ve been with Senator Clinton when she has been with our military men and women. I know from those experiences that she understands the demands and sacrifice of military life. I am confident she will always put the readiness and well being of our troops first. She is ready to be Commander-in-Chief.”

General Shelton joins General John Shalikashvili as the second former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to have endorsed Senator Clinton. General Shelton is the fourth flag officer to endorse Senator Clinton this week.

The first Green Beret to serve as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Shelton served our Nation with distinction over a career that spanned 38 years. General Shelton served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was assistant commander of the 101st Airborne Division during Operation Desert Storm in Iraq, and later commanded the 82nd Airborne Division. Prior to serving as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Shelton commanded U.S. Special Operations Forces. He served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the nation’s highest ranking military office, from 1997-2001.

General Shelton joins a distinguished group of 28 retired flag officers who have endorsed Senator Clinton to be our nation’s next Commander-in-Chief. In addition, more than 2,000 veterans and military retirees are members of Senator Clinton's national and state veterans’ steering committees.

“I am so proud to have the endorsement of General Shelton. He has spent his career commanding our country’s elite military units. He commanded at the highest level of our nation’s armed forces, while always remaining dedicated to the effectiveness of their combat capabilities and the well-being of their families.”

Aside from the fact she has no real experience since she has no pass into real situations as the first lady, her husband Bill already said you shouldn't vote for her based on a CNN interview:

"If one candidate is trying to scare you and the other one is try get you to think, if one candidate is appealing to your fears and the other one is appealing to your hopes, you better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope."
-- William J. Clinton, former President of the United States, October 25, 2004

~~~~~Red Phone Rings~~~~
"Hello? England here."
"Hello, England. Tony Rezko here."
Man of bad judgment when he knows no one is looking, opportunist when he knows people are looking.
Truth be told, I don't want Obama OR Hillary answering that phone and neither of them has the experience or maturity required to be a great leader. Ironically, I'm not too thrilled with the Republican candidate either. Millions of people and we can't fins ANYONE qualified to lead our great country?
Obama will provide a fundamental solution for the fundamental problem.
He will help unite the world. He will unearth the reason why the terrorists are attacking American interests.
Vote Obama to help unite the world. God provided enough for all of us.
First, I don't want either of these buffoons answering the WH phone. Second, I'd like Hillary to explain why she THINKS she has more experience than Obama. Because she was Pres...I mean first lady for eight years?
Barack Obama is the first IPO ever for a political candidate.
Seriously, his campaign is brilliant, straight out of a pitch book from Goldman Sachs. He has a simple story to tell, this anti war good judgement thing. It's entirely based on a single speech from 2002. But it's easily understandable and contains a kernel of truth, so people buy it hand over feet.
That ad is funny. Hilary as president - it's like having the new Bill Clinton as president -- tired, cranky and always whinning about something. Luckily OBAMA has many years to get to the point of being an old bitter politico. Let Obama have it -- he's a good man.
"MEN can't think at 3 a.m. in the morning....Women can. " Is that right? Well then, the next time I need help from the police or fire depts. in the middle of the night, I'll be sure to request that the emergency dispatcher only send women to the scene. Thank you for that warning.
"Hillery Clinton's resume, In a Nutshell." Actually HillAry has extensive political experience on her own, before ever meeting Bill. You might want to do a little more research on her before making yourself look like such a fool with statements like that.
"I would not want a 61 year old woman to answer the phone and i am a 64 year old woman and i know why. I want a young man to answer"
wanda, please stop projecting your shortcomings onto the very competent Mrs. Clinton.
Why must people put down the opponent in an effort to make their favored candidate look better? If the candidate you prefer is that great, you shouldn't need to badmouth the competition at all, amirite?
Barak however, can and should respond to attacks against him. In this case, what better method than to flip the situation around?
What's good for the goose, as they say. I hope he wins (but that doesn't mean I think Hillary is a moron).
The "quick response" ad is no shock or surprise. Obama has no ORIGINAL THOUGHTS or substantive idea or program or solution or...etc. He is simply a marketing image with a message so thin you can see throughout. We do know now that he mimics and copies others without conscience.
B.Hussein is just a pretty face with some good speaking skills, not the leader of the free world.
Get used to him being around reject. Repeat after me, President Obama!
HMMM. The "first IPO Presidential candidate." That might stick. Obama MIGHT be a great President. But he will probably turn out to be another Jimmy Carter who was just as much a uniter, just as much a simplifier, just as inexperienced, just as brilliant, etc. The problem with this country is the liberal Democrats just don't grasp the concept that this country is NOT as liberal as they think, Yet, time after time, they present another ultra liberal for President who loses.
Who DOES answer the phone in the White House at 3:00 a.m.? The President? The First Spouse? An aide? Maybe we should first get honest answers to this questions. Oh, that's right. This is politics -- there ARE no honest answers. Anyway, if it's the President, fine. If it's the First Spouse, I can deal with that even though I don't find any of them notably competent. If it will be an aide, then I think we voters deserve an opportunity to review the list of proposed aides and their foreign policy positions. The whole thing is just way, way too silly!
Satire over Hillary ad from Holland
I don't know who answers the phone at the White house now at 3AM, but when old Bill was there, betcha Monica would have picked up the phone at 3AM!
Your right that Democrats just don't grasp the concept that this country is NOT as liberal as they think. More to the point what the American people don't grasp, is that the George Bush's and Dick Cheney's of the world A) don't care about you and B) think the American people are just here for THEM to RIP OFF!!! The Texas mafia. Plain and simple. Iraq was and is just a big money grab. Ever get the feeling you've been ripped off???
