Barack Obama launched a new website today devoted to keeping track of the criticism coming his way from rival Hillary Clinton.
Lest there be any confusion about its purpose, the website is called "Hillary Attacks," and its first headline reads "Another Day, Another Set of Attacks from Hillary Clinton."
The Clinton camp retorted right away on its Fact Hub page, which infers a different mission statement.
Obama's new website is devoted to "complaining that Sen. Obama's policies and public statements have become the subject of scrutiny," Fact Hub says this morning.
Obama campaign manager David Plouffe sent out a letter to supporters this morning soliciting submissions for the site.
Here is an excerpt from Plouffe's letter:
Today we're launching a website that will keep track of all the attacks Senator Clinton has launched since she said she wasn't interested in attacking other Democrats at the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner on November 10th. We're asking all of you to be vigilant and notify us immediately of any attacks from Senator Clinton or her supporters as soon as you see them so that we can respond with the truth swiftly and forcefully.
This attacks could be phone calls, literature drops, blog posts mail pieces as well as radio and TV ads. Some could even be anonymous or designed to be. Please email us at hillaryattacks@barackobama.com the moment you see something that concerns you.
Senator Clinton has said her idea of fun is to attack Barack each day from here on out, and that's why we need you to help us stop those attacks and make sure that Barack can continue to talk with voters and caucus-goers about the struggles they face and their hope for America.

Great idea. After complaining about Hillary always playing the "victim card." Obama will now complain about Hillary attacks. That way he can have equal play time with that same "victim" card.
He needs to get a new team because I have no idea why they thought creating and devoting an entire web site to Hillary attacks was a good idea. It screams desperation. Now all we need is all the other DNCers and GOPers to put up a bunch of clan like websites bashing each other. Do it and do it now! We can not possibly have enough of the "he said she said" trash on the internet.

So it is ok for Obama to attack Hillary but when she attacks back Obama is going to cry about it? Just another example of how much of a Hypocrite Obama is. How can anyone support this fraud.

Clinton attacked Obama for a essay he wrote in kindergarten. I think that gives us a pretty good idea of her character. She sounds like George Bush 2.0 to me.

The website is run by someone not associated with the Obama camp. Please amend your story accordingly.

Yeah Yeah, and in the end the ticket will read Clinton/Obama or Obama /Clinton, I am going to vomit with all the bullsh*t

There is no way team Obama can pull this off. They'd need a crew of thousands to keep track of all the mudd Hillary will be flinging towards them.

Here's a link to the website in question:
http://www.hillaryattacks.com/
This website appears to be run by someone not affiliated with Obama, since it also has pro-Edwards comments in it. It's basically another Hillary-basing website.

It's not Hillary's fault Obama provides so much mudd to work with...
Dr, you might want to tell David Plouffe. Who cares who runs it. The campaign manager wrote a letter soliciting submissions for the site. It's black and white. Now the Obama camp is affiliated to it regardless of who runs it.

Pointing out the discrepancy in what Obama has said is fair game. He's the one who sniped that unlike some folks (Hillary) he hasn't been angling for the presidency for decades. He has.
Attacking Hillary for pointing this out takes nothing away from his continued hypocrisy.
And of course Swamp as always never misses a chance to champion Obama's cause, directing readers to a pro-Obama website in this case.

A whois look up on the domain hillaryattacks.com shows a registration date of 19 Nov 07, how spontaneous is this? I'd say registering a domain name of this caliber, they planned this all along. Of course private registration.
I am a proud supporter of the Honorable Senator, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Hillary did not attack Obama's kindergarten essay. She attacked the fact that Obama is lying almost every day and no one is challenging him.
Read the Hillary Fact Hub and mention even one statement there that is inaccurate. There is NONE. Go to the Obama Fact Check and see if there are anything inaccurate there - there are aplenty. In fact, Obama has had to pull down a number of articles because of the inaccuracy. And the articles still there are still as misleading as ever.
I'm sorry for the Obama fans - but an objective look at this will show you that Clinton has been more straight with the facts than Obama.

Mr. Obama represents our best choice to bring the country together. Unlike the polarizing effect the other candidates will have on this country, Mr. Obama can and will work to represent all.
We are in dire need of a world leader that that the COUNTRY can rally around --- democrats as well as republicans.
Mrs. Clinton ain't the ticket, folks.

Hillary Clinton is so divisive that she even polarizes her own party! This is insane!
Posted by: Steve | December 3, 2007 2:12 PM
It is hardly an entire website. It is a simple subdomain of the campaign website; I could create the same in a matter of minutes.

Obama said;
"Barack Obama is responding to Kindergate and Hillary's false attacks in the most positive way possible: he's refocusing the campaign on his ADGENDA and his PLATFORM".
Barack is concerned, and wants us to be concerned, with these MOST IMPORTANT campaign issues needed desperately by all Americans, that his platform addresses. He is obviously doing the right thing. Keep up the good work, Barack!
Let Hillary continue to preach that which is most important to her. Smear tactics and Baracks essay in grade school.
The difference between these two candidates is like night and day. How is it possible for people NOT to see her tactics for what they are??

To be clear, David Plouffe didn't solicit submissions for the http://www.hillaryattacks.com site, he was referring to http://hillaryattacks.barackobama.com, which is affiliated with the campaign. The two websites are different.

Right now the only one polarizing the party are Obama and the Obama fans that want to do everything and anything to distance themselves from Clinton. I don't think it could get more extreme when Obama and Obama fans say they would rather vote for Rudy than Hillary. At least with Hillary we will not be sending ground troops into Iran, deposing the regime, putting up a new one, and sticking around policing. At least with Hillary , if you believe in univeral health care which if you believe in Obama I guess you do, you'd get a leader, Hillary, willing to look into it, and not a leader, Rudy, not even willing to hear of it while funding WW3. I don't think the Clinton and Clinton fans would threaten to pull the party line if it meant getting Rudy--err W. That's not party line vote that's Democrats voting on Democratic issues.

It would be surprising if Hillary Clinton did not attack her leading Democratic competitor for the presidential nomination. I don't see what this tracking website will accomplish, when Obama has the option of countering Hillary Clinton's attacks with his own.

So it is ok for Obama to attack Hillary but when she attacks back Obama is going to cry about it? Just another example of how much of a Hypocrite Obama is. How can anyone support this fraud. This has gotten him into trouble, I no loner respect him.

Obama is a spoiled baby who began attacking Clinton (big time), and he continued with his attacks, while Hillary just let them slide. When she finally decided enough was enough and attacks back, everyone began saying she is mud slinging, which she said she does not want to do. So, what is she supposed to do? Lie there and take it? She has simply defended her platform, which she has worked her whole life towards. The Obama camp wanted her to fire back so they could say she was doing exactly what she said she wouldn't do. The funny thing is, she is not mud slinging . . . she is telling the truth about Obama. All Obama would do for this country have us buried in even more problems than we already have. Barack needs to pack his bags and go back to where he is from. He would be a better president there.
