I can't believe anyone thinks Rudy Giuliani is going to win the Republican nomination.

It's interesting to watch two conflicting phenomena: the American people reject Giuliani as the Republican Party establishment embraces him.

Giuliani certainly is the man who would keep us in wars during his entire time in office if elected. I support Ron Paul, but lets keep our wits about us. European, or Christian, powers have been involved in the Middle East as long as Islam has been around. Its unfair and inaccurate to infer that the turmoil there is an innate property of "those people" when people like "us" have influenced the history of that region as well (mostly negatively I might add, remember the crusades?) Ron Paul stands for Liberty, Freedom, and Prosperity. The slanderers are out in full force now, trying to paint Ron Paul as a man who stands for the opposite of the truth. It isn't working. Your slanders and lies about Ron Paul are only galvanizing us to promote him further, which is why you're seeing people flocking to both him and his message, while rejecting the status quo War mongers and New World Order socialists.

If the media has its way, they will elect a democrat into office, because the truth is that our govt is rigged, and doesn't want to have one "side" of their oligarchy controlling the white house for too long. If Democrats or Republicans continually controlled the white house, the other side would become disenfranchised and feel that their vote didn't count anymore..... So this means total surveillance = safety? Maybe in the world of 1984 or Mao, but America? He's disturbed or at the least misinformed. Intelligent people will always evade detection even if society is turned into a plantation. They force us in the end to live like servants to the terrorists and the government. In a free society the government is not obligated to protect us from ourselves. Maybe that's the case in Mao's China or Lenin's Russia, but not the case in a society such as America, he's just using politics as a "will to power", that's no different than the terrorists, except he feels legitimized by any possible threat.

While I appreciated hearing Giuliani's comments, I thought they sounded truly scary. They inspired me to clip some of the comments, and I am going to submit some questions to the upcoming debate.

We have not been attacked in 6 years, so the War effort is working and the claims of diminishment of civil rights are only claims. Not a demonstrable reduction of anyones freedom's.
